Mr. Pap- which do you think is a better rep this CrSMP or the Planet Ocean Ceramic TI/TI Swiss Eta 2824-2 ?

My buddy just picked up one of these gen black. I am looking into to picking up a rep and trying to get a comparison going.

I picked one of these up on the used market, and it has a totally different bezel insert thatn Mr. Pap's. The pearl is like a Rolex Ceramic sub, and not inlayed. Does anyone know why there are different versions? It is still a very nice rep overall. The thickness is a bit of a let down. SMP is my favorite watch is its thin and comfortable.

Nice review Mr. Pap! Rep points to you. The choice to go anything but the 2892 clone always has baffled me. The crown is lower to the caseback to accommodate for the thicker 2824. Had they chosen the 2892, they could have scored an even bigger win. Still a fantastic looking rep and I wouldn't turn my nose up on buying one. Congrats!

the first batch was painted blue, from recent pics ive seen I would say the most recent batches have actual blue ceramic-not paint...you can just tell by the way light plays off it. these are from bp factory, and they did exactly the same with their blue titanium planet ocean, first batches had painted inserts, updated ones had actual ceramic...my choice would still be black in this model though, its a very sexy watch in black!

Great Review! Thank you! Does anyone know how the black ceramic compares to the Gen. Does the dial stack up on the black example? Also, can anyone point me in the direction of a TD that carries the black? I've found quite a few blues as well as some 50th anniversary, which I am not into. Thanks fellas!

Is your pearl angled? Mine is angled on this spare bezel insert I purchased from Ryan. It looks like crap even the triangle too, lume is incredibly weak as well.
