I remember that on my JF retaining ring was a bit loose with JF gasket, but switching it with a gen one did the trick

Just got mine yesterday. Loose bezel, which I’ll get fixed soon. But all in all I like it a lot.
I just received my RAF 16610 and overall I’m happy with it. It’s my first rep and I’ve not actually held a Gen in the metal but I would like to share some thoughts and accompanying pics for those considering it and welcome others’ input too. I also preface these thoughts with the understanding it’s a rep at the end of the day.
I think visually the dial and bezel look good and the line is bright. The font on the date wheel seems sharp and thin and the magnification looks to be about 2.5x to the naked eye and the numbers look central. The case is good too but the chamfered edges on the lugs aren’t completely uniform. The pearl on the bezel looks central.
There is a bit of vertical play on the bezel action which I’ve tried to capture on a couple of the pictures below. The action itself feels crisp and has a nice click. There is also a bit of play on the solid end links around the radius of the spring bars, and they’re not recessed perfectly.
The crown sticks out perhaps a little far as noted by others but it’s also exaggerated by the angle of the picture I took. On the wrist it’s fine for me. The winding of the movement feels pretty bad and it’s acknowledged that the SH3135 isn’t good but for the moment it’s running well.
Everything else seems satisfactory to my eyes but interested to hear what others think.

Curious to know if anyone has used a watchmaterial LN insert on a 16610 build. Not just the pearl, but the whole insert. For $25 I may try it out.
Does anybody have any spare 16610 parts? Iam doing a Franken ginault project. Looking for ln and lv 3135 dials, caseback and other things. I have a vs3135 I plan to use. Wanting to get rep parts in for now and slowly aquire gem parts as time goes on.
Takes gen insert without mods though is why i used one over the stock

Just received QC pics for another one, and seems like they've made some improvements. Date font looks better and crown has been corrected to steel version. I guess we can call this V2.

The movement seems quite smooth, the date disc is centered and the lens also seems centered and with the correct magnification.
What improvements can be made to get as close as possible to the gen??? thanks to all for the feedback!!

Pop the bezel off, slide a second bezel washer under the click spring and reinstall the bezel. Then align the insert and click it into place.
The second washer makes the clicks much crisper and eliminates the looseness of the bezel.

I got the same clasp code am sying to know if the ARF with clasp code E06 is a better bracelet, If anyone can help about to pull the trigger on one!
The hands on these are atrocious, I don’t understand the hype. Very 2D and ugly.

I kind of agree, I don’t think hands like these are acceptable in 2023. Even worse coming from an ARF spin-off. But I don’t think there’s any hype, it’s just that this is one of the two only models of 16610 out there, with the alterna being the BP. I think it’s still far superior to the BP, both in bracelet and dial quality. Is it worth 2x the price? I don’t think so, but we have to play with the cards we’ve been dealt I guess…

Received the RAF Kermit V2 today, and there are definitely some changes. First of all the insert color is different. Hard to see in the photos but it's definitely the later British Racing green as opposed to the lime green. You can see the new one compared to my old which I'm currently modding so it has no movement or dial in it.
As you may know there were several different bezels used during the run of the Kermit, I would say the old one was based on B3 and the current one is using B4 or B5

I also think they fixed the crown gap, but I went ahead and used a gen crown anyways. All in all, I'd say these improvements have made the watch nicer and definitely worth buying for any 5-digit Sub enthusiast.
