may I ask if they have also updated the winding crown? the one installed is for gold three dots with the larger central which is obviously wrong

Yes they did, I posted some QC pics of that in an earlier photo. The date disc is also much improved, the font is so much better that I honestly don't even think it's worth upgrading to a gen date disc.

I always think that new releases should never be taken immediately because then there are almost always silent updates
anyway i ordered new crown and tube and vr movement
I already have a vf crystal and a new spring to replace the stock one for the bezel
in the end I perfect the purchase already made

The hands on these are atrocious, I don’t understand the hype. Very 2D and ugly.

Have you compared them to gen in your hands? I did, and I was loving that they were pretty identical to gen hands.

Yup, source and install a gen bezel. If you want the click to be as “gen as possible”, install the whole assembly… it all fits. Does it fit your budget is the question.

Install a seond washer and bend the click spring slightly up vertically so it engages properly

I’ve had BP, JF and ARF 16610’s and the only thing that worked properly on the bezel action was either bending the spring or making a new one with steel wire and a set of pliers. It’s not tremendously difficult, you might have to try different gauges but to me it’s the best solution.

thanks for the advice, doing various tests I bent the spring slightly and I got to have a more precise click and also the bezel is less slow!!! Now I will order another disc to insert under the bezel and I think it will improve a lot!!

I got a second washer and it’s much better now.

I bought a spring that advised me @McDuck888 that it shouldn't be bent I can't wait to try it
I'm waiting for the new VR movement to arrive to make the appropriate changes to this splendid watch

I was thinking of replacing the glass with a high quality one, but the unhealthy idea of putting one without a cyclope like the seadweller is taking over me ...... I'm not a big fan of cyclope, and I have seen on various forums that someone does he put on 16610 and the effect is very nice!!!!opinions???

I removed the cyclops from a 116613 that I gave to my dad and I thought it looked pretty clean. I have a SD as well so I like having the cyclops on my Subs

I actually put a cyclops Crystal back on my Ginault. Tbh, to me the cyclops is a signature of the Submariner, if you want a no cyclops you have the Sea Dweller which is an absolutely amazing watch too.

I also noticed SEL aren't as recessed as they used to be on the genuine 16610LN aren't they? I'm a total nerd on that and I really like symmetrical and recessed SELs. Is that a general issue or something that can be sorted with good QC from the TD?

The crowns poking out is more of a concern to me.

Finally got around to installing the VSF 116610 crystal in this.

So DW, crown and crystal is now VSF. Still got the SH movement but it works well enough for now.
