I’ve installed a Clark’s bezel. The one with AR under the cyclops. It’s not terribly different than the stick crystal imo. And the magnification seems smaller. If I used a taller spacer/gasket Would it increase the magnification?

Also, removing and reinstalling the retaining ring seems to have affected the bezel rotation. Seems like fixing fixing one issue amplifies another

Oh well, I do enjoy working on these things.

When I did my crystal swap, I bent the retaining ring on mine a little and had to replace the retainer with ARF lol. That metal is so soft man. The bezel wouldn't turn on a microscopically bent retainer darn it.

A taller crystal gasket height sure will make the date appear a little bigger, yep.

It sure will yes. Maybe u have to take The bezel off again. It seems like its not assembled 100% like it should.
For now i have installed a nylon thread in The groove for The friction ring to stop The wobbling, and i bend The bezel spring a little more. Gives a very gen like feeling. Bit when i recieve The vso bezel i will install The extra friction washer. Hope its gonna work.

It doesnt look like a toy its just loose and flimsy feeling and can turn both ways. The wso has better teeth shape and accepts gen inserts. Still requires 2 washers to make turning tighter.

hi guys, before making an excessive expense, can you confirm that with the wso bezel I improve the stock raf especially in terms of rotation and click?

Another RAF build, pretty much completed now.
The VR3135 movement with gen datesdisc gave me another centred-datewheel (but i would never mind, personally, if a date was sitting high low etc)
And I straightened out the clickspring a little so the bezel has more resistance, sounds great, and moves in one solid direction.
No extra buyingz of washers and other malarkey for mine. But I understand that the bezel feels and sounds so cheap on arrival, as stock.

The stock inlay’s green is just great and classic. But it’s always fun to change … and change back later

Rock, I hope your TC insert fits. I had to shave all my gen inserts down in size to fit into the RAF bezel.
