Exactly... all these watches have been hand finished and polished before leaving the Rolex Factory. No two are identical and I'm sure rolex employeed dozens and likely hundreds of people to do this work. These small differences are all within Rolexs tolerance.

Subsequent polishing after purchase also exacerbate the small differences. Additionally, lighting and picture angle are a factor when taking pictures.
I wouldn't sweat it bro's, there was a time when I had "my hunt" for the (perfect sub) guess what, there isn't really one out there and I've come to realize that as long as YOU like it and the way it looks this is what matters!

Of course no body likes the over polished pieces and over rolled top lugs this is very unpleasant to see for yourself firstly ☝️

I 100% agree with you. That apply to any watch by the way. And also to Gen. 16610? 116610? 126610? Bezel 1,2,3,4,5? C’mon. In the end of the day gen or rep, it has to go down to what you like and enjoy.

That’s what I was on a hunt for. A 16610LV that I was happy with.

Did you fit the new bezel assembly? If so how did it go

Bezel assembly is fixed. The bezel is way, way more Gen like. It looks and feel like my Gen. Bezel action not quite there as I would like it (I think those teeth that are not very precise as discussed above) but definitely much much better.
Still working on the watch itself but this is where I’m at for the moment:
- gen crown installed
- Clark Crystal (an upgrade overall but not a fan of the cyclops. I think this is from a bad batch I’m afraid, you can see it installed. If Gary can’t provide a better one I’ll ask Xing to find me a deep or maybe I’ll go prof which is awesome)
- VS3135 installed
- Bezel and bezel insert discussed above installed
- mineral Oil ultrasonic clean for the bracelet
- waterproof 10ATM

Here is a photo of the watch as it is now. Once all is done I’ll share more 😊

Edit: Typo

Yes.
You need to counter chamfer the hole on the raf / ARF. The stock tube and the gen tube are very different.

I opted for Gen crown on stock tube. It work well and I can’t feel any difference compared to Gen when I act on the crown

Edit:
A few pages back, towards the beginning of this thread, you will find few posts also by me with images on how the job is done and looks like. But unless your tube is broken or defective, I don’t see personally a reason to embark in such endeavor as the gem crown fit the tube of ARF/RAF

Unfortunately I had problems with the mod...
I installed the vs movement but the date display is completely off center and indeed very much to the left.
I don't know how to solve whether to change the date with a vr as suggested by a user a few posts behind

I have the same issue. I will work on it as soon as my watch is back.
I had another issue with the Clark crystal. I did not like it so I switched with a prof crystal. You never go wrong with Prof.

Once it's back I will compare the DW with my gen.
1) I read on rolex forum that on the gen movement the position can be regulated a little bit somehow. I don't know if the same goes for VS
2) I noticed on my gen that the DW is also more to the left. I never noticed it before if it wasn't for my newly found rep obsession 🙈
3) Maybe I get a gen DW? Not sure if this would improve the issue
4) the issue is noticed more on number 31 and 30. Less on other numbers

I'll try to solve it with a data vr disc, but this is strange, I saw a sale on the market with an exchange with vs without apparent problems.
to me they are all to the left but those that start for 2...23 22 28 29 are cut off by the dial window a horrible thing!!

Oooh no mine is not that bad at all. No cut off. Just a little to the left. Almost to the border but not cut off. But than again also gen is not perfectly centered too.

The level of misalignment is pretty much the same of the guy in this thread

I mean, you can see on this photo, the 16610LN is also slightly to the left. Not as much but still not centered.

And it's gen.
Again, I read on the rolex forum that some tiny adjustments can be made on the gen caliber. Not sure if it applies also to the clone VS..
I will dig into it once Steve send me the watch back.

The diameter of the ARF (SH) date disc slightly too small for the VS movement. The best is to install a gen disc.

What I have heard is you need to be carefull with VS movements,
the date window should not match perfect to the VS date disc.
Should be fixed with VR or Gen date disc.

I already ordered a VR
hello actually what I heard from you I can confirm it I wanted to know if you have already mounted the vr movement and if the exchange has not presented problems with the data disc

Has the correct dial as well. I placed an order and asked Ryan if he can get the engraved rehaut version. His email still has the CNY auto reply, so I'll update when I get QC.
