I have a question for the experts. How are the so-called "gain weight" or tungsten versions made? Are they metal, both bracelets and cases, all tungsten alloy, or tungsten plating or rhodium plating? Thanks.

It’s a copper tungsten mix to get the case and bracelet heavier than stainless steel

Is it confirmed by the factory that the tungsten version is rhodium and not WG plated?

Hi all, been a while since I posted on here. Wanted to share some thoughts on my QF 126529. Hope to get the time away from work to take pics side by side with my Gen 116500 Panda. The QF is the only rep I currently own. Gave my Franken 116500 (gen 116520 black dial/hands/crystal, CF bezel, ARF clasp, NOOB V3 case/movement) to my son.

First, omg this is a heck of watch in itself. Even if it weren't a rep, it's just a WELL MADE watch. My gen panda loses 3 seconds/day. The QF loses 2 seconds/day. So much of it feels gen. I did get the tungsten model and it's probably at the limit of weight that I'd ever want to wear, certainly heavier than my gen. If the gen 126529 is heaver than the QF, I'm cool with the QF for sure.

I've been wearing the QF for about a month almost daily and it's one of the most satisfying watches I've ever owned. I think one aspect of the satisfaction is that the gen is so prohibitedly expensive, I've pay over $100K for a car, but never a watch. So the satisfaction is of getting 90% of the experience for 1% of the cost.

One thing that is good/bad, depending on your perspective is the finish. When I unboxed the watch I was outside on my patio table and the first sight was overwhelming, just so bright and eye popping. This is a watch that just stuns, especially in daylight. But my gen is almost slightly yellowish in comparison, the QF almost looks like chrome-like. Think choosing a daylight(bluish) LED bulb you replace your house lights with vs a warmer (yellowish) LED. The gen is warmer and the QF colder, which is opposite what you think of white gold. I'd imagine a gen 126529 is even warmer than my gen panda. But...the more bluish tone really does make it pop, regardless if it isn't warm like a gen.

Will get some pics up soon.

The gen is definitely heavier (200g) than the QF (I forgot how much exactly) but I myself wanted to get the QF tungsten because of exactly for the weight of it. I'm curious how clean factory will look if they decide to make a Le Mans, although I know they dont do a tungsten/weighted version which is also a shame.

I'm still pissed at Rolex for discontinuing this so soon but bf its not like I'll ever get it even for retail.

I owned a Rose Gold Daytona, I can tell the weight difference and was able to do so as soon as I lifted it.
It falls somewhere between real gold and SS. Really wish it was a little heavier.

Hello everyone. My QF 126529 SS is beautiful and looking at your versions in Cu-W I notice that the problem is color. Too tending to blue that in the gen in WG is not like that. For me, since I am not interested in the weight but only in the aesthetic part, the SS is more similar and perhaps it would be perfect with a WG plating (but with an excessive cost). The only small imperfection that at least I notice is the incorrect definition or evidence of the small rings around the subdials that in the Gen are more reflective, as APS did.

I’ve noticed that the gen crystal doesn’t fog up. So typically I blow some hot air on my reps and then use a cloth to clean the crystal. But on this gen crystal when I do it I don’t see it do that.

Can anyone tell me whether this is the latest QF v6 'Le Mans' with updated movement I've been reading about?
