I will like to give a shoutout to all the friendly and helpful individuals who work for the Philadelphia USPS office. They sensed something was fishy and was totally right. The crook got pissed at the mailman for refusing to release the package to him because his ID did not match the package. They were very kind and helpful and it's because of them, that my watch is on its way home.

Yes the postal "police" have all his info and is opening up an investigation. Hopefully justice will be served.

If you do decide to sell it again try watchuseek. It's an excellent gen watch forum with a huge amount of gen watch sales. It's not without its scammers but you can ask for pp gift or just deal with people with good feedback.

Very glad to hear all is (mostly) well mate. That was a close one.

And I have a copy of the crooks ID, I'm debating whether I should press charges or pass the info along to the original victim and let him decide whether or not to press charges
Make a formal report, mail fraud is very serious indeed.

This is good to hear, it proves that at least some USPS staff do indeed give a damn. May I suggest a letter ( a real one, not an email) to the Postmaster General commending their actions? They deserve some recognition for their diligence.

That's a great idea, I was not hopefull when I called them but after two minutes my entire attitude changed towards them. They were great and deserve the credit. This was a very close call, I have learned my lesson and will be much more careful in the future.
