Bp sub 2836 date change issue.

Looking for some help and advice i received my BP sub c from Ryan a few days ago. A brilliant watch and brilliant service.

It has developed an issue with the date function. It seems to be getting stuck on and off when the date is set with the crown. Also the date does not advance forward at all at 12.

Im not to confident opening the watch up myself any suggestions on an easy fix or a modder in or around the UK that could repair these issues.

The switchover is quickly explained: The assembler did not set the watch to 24:00h when he/she/it put the hands on. This seems an easy fix.

About the date function: I am not sure what you mean. Did you cycle the watch once (i.e. move the hands 24 h forward)?

Sorry perhaps i didn't explain that properly the date does not advance automatically. At any time through a 24hours cycle.

The date will change on the crown sometimes but other times it will seem like it is stuck in one position.

I came across a similar issue.

If everything else is working fine try this...

1) slightly untighten the movement tab on the date side and see if that helps, could be that the movement is being clamped down on to hard and the date is getting stuck.

2) if that doesn't solve the issue, replace the shitty Chinese date disc with a eta one, you should notice the differences.
The factory date discs are very poor quality and it could be that the teeth have been damaged.

3) it also could be that the date disc overlay has come loose and is just floating abouve the date disc...since the factory glue is pretty shitty too.
