He is in his mid 50's so I'm hoping this is all a miscommunication. I'm more then happy to just get the watch back but if it's a scam, I'm gunna go to war. I will contact his church, send the local police his information and for 3k a ticket to WI would be worth it

That's messed up. I sell a lot of stuff on eBay and only ever ship to a confirmed PayPal address. Also video the watch before I send it too. Surprised pp just gave the money back when they knew what was going on. Also surprised they let you withdraw the money so quick. When I sold to you recently they didn't let me touch the money for two weeks and I thought it was a precaution against disputes but obviously that rule is just for me. Anyway, I hope this turns out ok for you bro.

That sux man, hope you get it sorted, it's already been said but shipping to another address is a massive red flag, simply don't do it.

So I spoke to the "buyer" he said he had to cancel his credit card because multiple purchases were made and that he did not make a purchase. Seemed like a decent guy but when I said we will be in touch, he said he is "going out of town for a week" so kinda suspicious

Did you have any luck with USPS? Why the hell would you go out of town when expecting a $3k package to land on your doorstep?!!

I couldn't get in touch with USPS, they closed at 8:30 pm ET. I called at 7:15 and was on hold until 8:30 then got cut off. I filed an online insurance claim though. I also realize that I was wrong on the date. The last update was the package was attempted to be redilivered on July 14 then there's no new updates since then. I'm really hoping the scammer attempted to receive the package but couldn't then just let it bounce around post office and hopefully it's heading back to me. I will be very happy to get the watch back

I really hate PP!!

Hope things get sorted soon bro

I hate PP too, they are no help to me. The fact that they can mess with your balance without your knowledge is ridiculous. I would never leave a balance. I will only pay via bank or CC from now on

Well a least you have the loot. If there's no funds in your account then all they can do is cancel your pp account I would think

I sale heavy equipment on Ebay. When I first started I took Paypal as long as buyer paid fees. One time I sold a machine to a guy and he pits regular gas in it instead of diesel. Needless to say it messed it a up. He filed a PayPal dispute and they sided with him. Said that my add did not state it was diesel. Even though it says diesel fuel only all over the machine. Ended up just having to pay to have it shipped back and then thousands more to fix it. Long story short, I know longer accept PayPal for my business. It's so one sided it's not even funny.

What do you use now as a form of payment?

Paypal is a joke, that's why even eBay is breaking away from them and becoming two separate companies. I will never use PayPal again for anything

Cash, Cashiers Check, or Wire Transfer if they don't like it they can buy elsewhere. Too many shady ass people out there. Had a friend of mine sold a laptop. Guy filed paypal dispute said it was DOA. Paypal refunded his money. He sends the computer back. It was the same model and everything, but upon closer inspection the serial number was different. They still sided with him since the Serial Number was not in the listing.

I'm gunna check out that Google wallet. I'm going to wake up early and call USPS and every post office in Philadelphia to make sure that package is not released to anyone.

Wow that's such a joke. I won't be using eBay either anymore. It's all one sided.

Yeah Ebay sucks but I do get a lot of business through there. Just have to take the good with the bad. I will never use PayPal for business though. Couple hundred dollars on watches is one thing. When it gets up into the thousands it's not worth the risk.
