I'm honestly still not entirely sure.
I think there was something happening for sure, as described in this thread: nothing too major though. Just the usual annual spring theater... If I had to write a summary of the TD feedback I received, I'd probably say: "Only minor disruptions expected, CF soon back at normal operations and CF merchandise still available at wholesalers / distributors or through own stock."

Such a weird concept, they just raid for the political optics of it. I guess this makes sense but I doubt the legitimacy of these police raids, especially since they are apparently happening around the same time every year.
This is China, what they say and do is ultimately the law. New Year happens at the same time every year too, do you doubt its legitimacy?
My understanding is that this is happening due to ‘315’ or the 15th March to most of us. Which is the World Consumer Rights event in China. There will be a focus on the entire replica market (watches, bags, shoes etc) before, during an after the event so most of these businesses keep a low profile and there are a higher degree of raids etc. The event happens the same date every year so makes sense we would see the same disruption each year too.
Ahhhh okay this actually makes a lot of sense. Admittedly, I know very little about Chinese politics and Chinese society but this would definitely make sense. Either way it seems like this is nothing serious so I don't necessarily think this is going to cause serious disruptions to our little hobby.
The biggest thing I have found about this hobby is that you must have an awful lot of patience be it waiting to communicate with a dealer to waiting for your package to arrive. It requires so much patience that I order only once in a while. Now with raids having happened there is even more patience required. It teaches self discipline.
Agreed brother. I may be new but I've done my due diligence. I've read enough to know that it isn't a matter of if you are going to get your watch, it's a matter of when (and the answer can sometimes be a long ass time). The only problem I'm facing is which one to try first. Unlike many of the guys here, I'm not made of money...
If you want one with as little wait as possible, select that one. If not, do like me and choose one but accept it’s going to take ages. Also, prepare to wait a long time sometimes for dealers to respond to you, I am patient but I only do this every once in a while. Life is short after all
