Definitely going to be my next watch now the hand and cp are definitely sorted. Had seen them improved on the 441 previously so good to know that has worked its way to the tuttonero now.

For me, the bb and pr are less important. Fantastic review and top marks to the panerai community here!

any of the Trusted Dealers here, could source the watch for you. Please read first the review of each of them, then contact the one you feel more comfortable to deal with... And enjoy! Remember choose first the dealer and then the watch! It is currently CNY so don't be surprise if you will not get a fast reply. Better to wait a couple of weeks, until the normal business will be restored, and then order the watch you want. Good luck!

I dinged the side of my watch when changing the strap, saw a bit of shiny metal. Be careful very careful guys!

If only there was a way to touch this up.

I had this same issue with a 292 -- I went nuts and thought we had all been scammed. Wet your finger and use your fingernail to scrape the shiny metal off. The ceramic is harder than the screw driver or pin remover you used to change the strap and my hunch is that a bit if that got lodged onto the case. Give that a try and see if it alleviates the issue.

Got that same issue with my 360, when it hits something like a wall or metal, the surface that is hit leaves material on the case

Thanks guys. It also looks chipped, I attempted to touch it up with enamel paint but I'll wash everything off tonight and see how it goes. Appreciate the feedback!

If there's something shiny on a ceramic case, then it means it hit a metal object. Did the watch hit something during strap changing? And it would take some amount of force to either remove the alleged coating of the case, or deposit some metal onto the surface of the ceramic.

It was the screwdriver actually. There was glue in the lug bar upon arrival hence the difficulty in unscrewing it

So I was absolutely stupid in using metal polish on the small area and now it's smooth. The shiny ding is gone but the surface is smooth. Ugh my stupidity is astounding.

Anyone knows if there's any way to make the ceramic surface back to usual?

Nope -- it's a curing process and you can't replicate it at home. That's why I suggested your fingernail. You need something soft but rigid. You may be able to cure it with a textured paint, but doubtful. Either sand the entire case to make it uniform or sell it for parts. That movement should fetch a nice penny at they least.

You could send the case to IWW and have the DLC coating repaired or worst case, recoated.

Dude!! So astounding. You put a "scratch" on the ceramic case and tried enamel paint and metal polish on it? I put a metal mark on mine and just used a t-shirt, spit and some elbow grease. Not sure you can come back from this if you took the blasted finish off it. Your only option now is to ask your TD nicely to get you a new case which you should be able to get. Would probably be about $150 I would imagine.

Hey mysterio, quick question, who's iww ?

If your watch is ceramic you'll need to either live with it or replace the case. That's if you can't buff out what you've done with a t-shirt or tissue paper.
