i concur with the downgrading.

however, i believe the factory will work on the minute hands in the subsequent batches,

until then, downgraded at this moment.

the factory is already informed about this - so they probably will update it.

Another thing that I noticed, but don't know if mention before is that by comparing the Gen Dial and the Rep Dial. Some of the numbers are too narrow, such as 11, 10, 8, 1, and 2.

It seems that, by the pics, due to the light angle: direct light for the gen and side lighting for the rep. Then the thickness of the upper sandwich layer makes a shadow in the lume layer and markers seem thinner. Indeed the numerals in other previous rep versions were thicker and now they are corrected

It is impossible to scratch the ceramic with the usual metallic tools
Most likely you have "scratched" your tools with the ceramic and you have got metallic particles stuck in your love ceramic. Try to remove the particles with a tooth-brush water and soap if not possible use a rubber eraser.

this watch sounds like a major PITA. Pretty though...

This watch is magnificent and one of the best rep cases ever made
You need just to use the appropriate tools. Just that

Hi Everyone, I just received my new PAM 438 rep from Kuvarsit (Excellent service by the way A++), but I have to say that right off the bat I'm pretty disappointed. The watch looks great, but the first thing I'm noticing is that the GMT hand only moves 1/2 hour for every hour that the hour hand travels??? Anyone else having that same thing happen? I ordered the brown Asso strap with the watch with the ceramic black buckle and the combo looks awesome. I haven't tried to take links out on the ceramic bracelet yet. For $500 I'm seriously giving it a thumbs down. Minute hand too short, GMT no function. Am I being too critical?

Congrats to your new watch. The GMT hand at the rep moves on round in 24h. it's a half hour every hour. This is normal with the A7750 movement.

Short answer: Yes. At least the GMT hand moves -- and if its a little bonus, it helps you know if you have to change the date when you pick it up after not wearing it for a few days. The minute hand is an issue, but a minute one at that. This case is one of the most impressive displays from the factories in a long time, and for $15k less than the genuine article, I'd say its a bargain at $500. When was the last time anything 1/20 the price of the same thing is as good as the top of the market? Not trying to be a jerk, but when you figure that out, tell Kia so they can compete with Rolls Royce. Accept the flaws of this piece and wear it in good health. Cheers.

Thanks nalomb this is a good answer

For hifiskipper: many fans know about the GMT function on reps. It is always 24 hrs. a complete lap. There is no rep movement with GMT 12 hrs. so far.
When the gen has GMT 12 hrs., the rep will be always inaccurate in this regard.
This is the case of PAM 438- 441 -320... Read PAM GUIDE this matter is explained for each rep. This is not at all a surprise and we can do nothing to get a solution.

I have already included the info from hifiskipper about shorter minute hand of PAM 438 and PAM 441 Ceramic
Following our agreement of dowgrading due to an obvious flaw on dial

I have downgrade the evaluation as follows:

PAM 438 - From First Class rep bordering Super status to First Class rep medium level
PAM 441 - From First Class rep High level to First Class rep low level

I have also reduced the evalution of previous KW versions because they had also shorter hands

Thanks hifiskipper for the catch

+1

I walked past the gen in the boutique window again today and all I can say about the rep is... WOW. GMT and short minute hand are such minor flaws compared to the incredible accuracy of the REAL ceramic case and bracelet down to the smallest detail. $500? Be happy. The AP guys are paying almost $800 these days for reps with 20x more flaws and a ticking time bomb for a OOTB movement!!

Man, you guys are the best! I'm really liking the 438 today a lot more than yesterday. It really is a true work of art, and just like the original GEN, it's a pretty subtle piece but the more you wear it, the more you like it. I'm wearing it with the Brown Asso strap and it really looks great. I'll get some pics up soon.
