This is the 'original' Rep-Strap (Cashmere Gold).

Some called it 'crap', but IMHO it looks really good & nice, soft quality.

For me it's a 7 one a 10 rating scale.

Doesn't look bad.

This thread made me order a PAM127... so I was starting to look for a strap.

I might still buy something, but at least I know that the "original" can be used for some time. :)

I think, the most important question is, which look you do prefer?

If you prefer a more vinatge look, this strap maybe is not the right one.

But if you like the more classic and gen like look, this strap ist realy good.

I have searched for a 26/26mm strap, who looks more gen like, but I haven't found any. So I think, this ist the best, gen like (rep) strap who is available at the moment.

So I was just admiring my KW 127 (sorry I haven't posted pics yet ... got it a couple weeks ago and just been waiting on a new replacement strap to come in), and I happen to notice this eyesore on the inner bezel ...

And here I thought I was home free with this thing! Do you think it's rust? This thing hasn't touched water or moisture of any kind. I got it from PT. Do you think I should reach out to their warranty department or just cut my losses and have it serviced locally? Maybe it's a cheap enough repair that it's not worth all the hassle of shipping it back to China ...

Looks like some dirt caught in the seal between the bezel and crystal.
Prob an easy fix, just need to pop off the bezel to examine it, then you'll see if you need to pop off the crystal to clean it.

I took it to a local watch smith to have him take a look, and he said it was glue that had expanded or melted and risen upwards, potentially from the summer heat. He said there was an 80% chance he could clean it off. Anyone else seen any glue issues with KW 127?

Also no glue at my KW127.
But I wonder what they glued inside the bezel? [emoji15][emoji15]

Just got my watch back from the shop, and the watch smith managed to get the glue off and it looks good as new now. He said gen PAMs have a properly sealed gasket while these reps' bezels are glued on. He also said my dial was mounted unevenly (leaning towards the "7"), causing my second hand to physically contact the dial around the "10" second mark, so he leveled out the dial. He also said the movement's parts were like sandpaper, coming straight from machining without being smoothed or polished first, so he cleaned them up some and gave it a good oiling. He rated the quality of it as a rep at a 7.5/10. I'm really glad I took it in for service where I did. Everyone should take a close look at their dials and potentially take your KW 127 in for a tune up or tune it up yourself because it seems these things weren't put together with the best QC. Of course, it could always be worse ...

Are your sure your 127 is from KW? I also serviced my 6497 movement from my KW127 and the movement was one of the best rep movements I have ever seen. Very clean and smooth.

Pretty darn certain. I definitely ordered the KW 127 from PT, and the bridges on the back have the subtle and polished sunburst effect rather than the less polished, more pronounced sunbursting of ZF 127. You can see for yourself though in my QC pics at the following link ...

What does it look like when you feel it skip? Could just be a loose screw, allowing play in the winding gears.

I couldn't tell you since I wind it with face up. It has a very hard resistance when winding wanting to pull back with every wind. After a few turns where the main spring has tension it will click as if it want to let the main spring not allow the tension hold. I'm assuming it is not lined up properly but I can't tell if there is a way to tighten that. Sorry not familiar with servicing these. Hope it makes sense.

Tight both screws. The ratchet wheel screw and also the crown wheel screw. But watch out. The crown wheel screw has a left thread.

The one at the red circle is the ratchet wheel (right thread) the one at the blue circle is the crown wheel screw ( left thread) and the yellow one is the click screw. You can also thigh the click screw if you have your watch open.
