Got my 508 ceramic yesterday and it's very solid. The updated pearl does look better, but it is still too dark IRL compared to the rest of the lumed markers. Still, highly recommend as it's very nice rep, super rep territory in quality build.

Just curious I have never owned a ceramic case watch. How is the durability compared to SS or TI? Is it more fragile to dings or scratches?

I've read about people grazing the watch against other things and the "scratches" were removed with polish with a normal cloth.

I had the 438 and any looking "scratch" was really just material of whatever object it bumped into that left a mark. It would come right off by using a regular pencil eraser. ;)

You are not talking about scratches in ceramic material. This is almost impossible with the regular materials

The real thing is that ceramic "scratches" the material in contact and a line of "scratched" material appears on the ceramic surface. It is not a scratch, it is just a stroke of the other material. Just in the same way as the paper "scratches" a pencil when you draw a line on it.

Due to that you are able to remove the stroke of the other material with polish or pencil eraser

Just to clarify it

We will wait for more pics of the lume colour and pearl and owners thoughts before made a decision about final evaluation.

Since PAM 508 is closed caseback we could get a new Super rep if lume colours and pearl are good enough

I think it looks great ... due to the ceramic, the matte black looks stunning ... will it change color when viewed from different angles?

Thanks for sharing, Polonus. This is definitely the best looking pearl I have seen so far. At least It has a matching ecru color, which i guess is supposed to be the case. Congratulations!

Aaarrrghhh how I hate transshipping! :frusty:

Seriously, I agree the pearl doesn't look bad, yet I'm curious because in some pics I see it convex and in others concave... might be my age
