Apart from the bezel being out of center and the thin crown it looks ok

^ Thats why I stopped using Toro. I used to use him alot for everything until he started shipping like this. I received a few DOA watches along with a damaged one. For saving a few bucks? not worth the hassle
I don't kniw about all TDs, but I will say at least a few others do the same thing. I don't believe they do this to save money, I think they do it because the simple packaging moves more stealth through customs. They have to weigh the total number damaged vs the total number confiscated. Anyway, one of the benefits to using TDs is that the mods will support you if you truly were wronged just open a ticket. They get to stay TDs by treating people fairly, but we also have to be fair for things that are out of their control.

I saw three different offerings on TSWATCH today. I am too new to really tell you the difference other than factory and the straps are different.

I am buying a 382. Just not educated enough to pull the trigger. I don't need it to be perfect compared to gen. I need it to keep time, possible swim or shower here and there, nothing crooked or rattling. Will any of these reps check those boxes? This is the one I am looking at.

^ I haven't used every single TD but I know for sure Ryan/Ken/Sora/Puretime/Tony and some others on other rep forums DO NOT ship in a padded envelope. They use boxes and numerous layers of bubble wrap. Also I dont believe its a customs issue especially when shipping to countries like Australia where there is ZERO custom risk.

Crown looks like the same garbage from Jan & Feb batches. If they fix this issue I am 100% in again. Crown will not shut all the way with being this skinny.

I'm not sure that is altogether true ... if the SS hex nut is sticking out more than a watch with a fat crown, I think it is to ensure that the crown does indeed seal properly.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but a few pages ago this was discussed. Having said that ...it may be aesthetically unappealing to those who strive for absolute authenticity vis a vis a gen.

I have the small crown with the hex nut sticking out - but it still can't close properly. Had to put a small clear piece of plastic ( like a shim) between the crown and lever to make it pass 5 bar pressure test.
I am on the lookout for a better crown.

thats interesting. where would you find a bronze crown ? would a gen crown fit? if so ... what would be the cost ? how would you get one ?

I tried to get a fat one from my TD but it was not possible at the moment - but I Think I will try again - attaching pureb QC pic - showing the difference from mine.
Another possibility is that I have a fat crown from a bad 187 that I could have plated :-/ or much better copied. I suppose it could be 3D milled or something like that. Perhaps someone has more insight in that? ( NY Metalworks?)
Suppose a gen would be $$$.
Best regards

So do you think that I have bought a
bad one?

I Think it is the thin crown - like mine... But my watch is still awesome - same as the one on your QC pics. Just dont expect it to be waterproof straight out of the box.

Best regards
Chr
