Thanks voxx hope you enjoy yours as well. Here is a pic of mine with the bronze pig buckle. As you can see the patina is a bit different on it so it does make a difference in what the actual bronze is made of.

btw ... is that a Gunny strap ?

How long before the strap looked distressed like that or did you get it already distressed ?

It is pictures like yours that drew me towards a Bronzo .. such a beautiful watch.

It's a Gunny Canvas Verte. It comes distressed like that. In fact I've only had it a couple weeks. Going to get one in black for my Franken 243J that I have coming in too. They are great straps.

Mates
this is my new 382 on order
I see that the 30 marker is crooked, yet the rest looks quite good IMHO - would you accept this one ?

I just bought one and after 3 sets of QC pictures I finally settled on one with the 15 ever so slightly askew. I think there will not be anymore with perfect number markers and truth be told ...once it starts getting patina-ed
you probably won't even notice it anymore... but that's just me. I fretted about getting that perfect example but after having it for a week , I no longer notice any minor imperfections. One number askew is not that noticeable ..if they were all crooked I'd ask for another. Trust me ...that strap will bother you more than the number 30. Read my post a page back about how to fix it a bit.

What's your gut feeling ?

Dear Voxx
I do agree - it is not getting better but worse
I should have not sold my previous ZF Bronzo...
I approved this one, and hope that with the patina development will not be bothering with the askew "30" marker
As regards the strap you are 100% right - will probaably follow your way :) or look for a replacement

I would definately go for it. It might be the best current availlable KW 382

Great shot Rez ...

I am leaving for Cuba this Sunday and will spend a week working on my tan and watch patina in the ocean.
Mine is a little more advanced than yours after spending a few days in a dry sea-salt /water container. It was just enough to darken the color uniformly.

I'll take some before and after pics to post in the " What combo ... " thread.

cool. We're heading to Puerto Rico in two weeks and I'm taking this one to the condo. I live in very humid South Texas weather so all I've been doing is occasionally leaving it out in the patio.

FYI: I just got my watch back from having it tested for water-tightness.

It passed at 4 ATM straight out of the box and I was told no problem up to 135'. He didn't try any deeper ... no need to.

Ok, might be a dumb question but is it actual bronze or it´s an alloy that acts like it?
are there different level of metal quality from both makers?

thanks for the time.

The KW's have been tested by Ale and have been found to be indeed real bronze.

The ZF's haven't been tested but appear to be bronze also.
