Hi guys, 3rd QC from Kurvasit and I'm on the brink of giving up and getting a 511 instead. Any comments on this?

You do realize that sometimes a patina will form that looks like plating has rubbed off. The ZF is not plated. It's been around long enough where there would have been a lot more noise about it. The talk of ZF's composition comes from the fact that they didn't provide ALE with a case to cut and have analyzed. Doesn't mean it's not bronze. It just means we don't know the exact chemical makeup. My ZF v4 looks pretty damn good.

I totally agree.

Does anyone notice the 12 (ll) look a bit slanted or is it just me?

Even if it is, is there a way I can adjust it myself?

99% of the time it's just light reflection on the metal rim around the sticks.

yes it rubbed off to steel and I filed a bit on the inside of the crown guard and it was steel

If this is true, it is a very valuable information for all the community. Please share pics and details with us.

Latest update, what do you guys think? Amanda was even kind enough to take a video for me regarding the dial - can't tell if the 12(ll) is aligned properly or just light reflections as mentioned by kilowattore (thanks) above?

Looks tilted to the left. When unsure just ask for another. I would.

Yes I agree
That doesn't meant ZF is not bronze, just that we don't know the exact chemical composition of a ZFac sample
In the same way the KW analysis only assure that the sample I got is real bronze. We should trust KW regarding the consistency of the material used.

If you've got a plated "ZF" bronzo then you have been duped into buying a cheaper model at ZF price.

Your problem is is with your dealer or whomever you bought it off. He/she has ripped you off.

As I, and others have written above, the ZF model is of excellent quality. It's bronze has simply not had a sample submitted for testing.

I'm sorry but there has never been a confirmed non-bronze or plated 382 from ZF so far, while there have been several accusations that were proven wrong. Most of the times a spot on the watch developed a patina that looked like steel. Some lemon or ketchup usually reveals the truth.
I'm not saying I don't believe you, but without pics it's quite difficult to be sure what's going on.

Post some pics of the damaged plating. I'd like to see and compare to my own ZF.

You must be using Google translate as I am still lost. The caseback of the PAM382 isn't bronze but Titanium as it is to prevent sweat (which is water with salt, similar to sea water) which would cause patina to develop, not a desirable outcome.

Hey I mean looking through the crystal on the back - if case is solid bronze you should be able to see bronze along the movement - or what [emoji39]

Sent you my email. Pictures and a video of you scraping the bronze plating off the watch would be nice.
