what happened?? did you bugger the movement?
Not exactly, when I popped the metal plate off all of the hands came off and most of the gear wheels came off…I‘m not keen on trying to reattach all of the gears (I couldn’t find them all) and given this one I had already dropped and the crystal was cracked I decided to cut my losses.

that sucks. getting that plate off was nerve wracking for sure.

if you wanted to take another stab- just order a couple Sunon p50 moments off Ali- they are about 7 dollars delivered.

if you want to get that dial and hands out of your sight ill take them- but i bet you can salvage this with another movement.

Anyone else thought of swapping dials, I’m contemplating taking my leftover moon dial and adding it to the mars and keeping the red mars hands On the black dial

What strap would you recommend? Anything in particular or just whatever takes my fancy
I use mine on the curved rubber/canvas strap you see in my previous post or this Nato that came with my Seamaster Spectre

if you don't like Nato, try this

Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! US $4.76 35% Off | Nylon Canvas strap Watch Band 18mm 20mm 22mm 24mm Bracelet for Men Women Replacement Accessories Sport Quick Relace Wrist Band

It's cheap but super quality. Solid hardware and slightly elastic material. Nato looks with the comfort of two pieces

just mind one thing when you wear it.

The holder is metal and thick. It looks great but if you are not careful when you take out the watch from wrist, it slides to hit the watch head.
Good to know, thanks man

Hi newby here :ROFLMAO:
I also want to freeze that 2 oclock dial, I can see how it's done but some steps are missing - please could you tell me how to separate the hands and face then the plastic cover from the movement?
Also I have added your pic in - what is that thing I have circled? you don't appear to have refitted it?

Thanks for a any help you can give me!

The hands and dial is removed just as any other watch. You need some watch hand levers or a presto tool in conjunction with a dial protector. That can be just a piece of a plastic bag. The dial sits on dial feet and is just friction fit. You take a plastic prying tool or a screwdriver and loosen it then lift it off.

The part you circled around belongs to the date function and you don't need to refit it as the watch doesn't have a date window. Just throw it away.

As for the main plate, the nubs circled in red are the ones that hold it secure. When removing it you have to carefully pry it up in those locations. They work like snap fasteners. When placing it back, be careful to get all the pins for the sub dial into their holes before you start applying pressure.
