Omega Speedmaster 2013 Special Edition

Got mine yesterday, and not to impressed with build, the bottom pusher just fell out.. and the steel doesn't feel to good, but still prefer the dial to my gen...

So I got bottom pusher back in and glued it in, I know thats terrible, but I never use the chrono feature, and don't plan to sell on as I want to sell my gen for xmas funds.

Ive put on a nice strap, But Im even more interested in your glass mod now, I just need to find time and rep friendly watch smith in London/UK

my phone has decided to stop autofocusing, so picture not to good... will update with nice ones when fixed

How did you fix it? watchsmith? is there a easy screw in technic... not that it matters now the superglue on mine has set... just hits the resale value a lot. But think ill holdout it for a while

I sent it back to toro first time, but had same issue when he shipped it back. Then got a modder in Sydney to fix it while swapping the crystal out. I use the chrono from time to time so it was worth it

Thanks for info, yeah I thought about shipping back to Puretime, but Ive had a few problems with other watches from them recently, so Im looking at store credit solution.... plus I think my glue has sealed the deal for now... pun intended

Lol yeah I learned the hard way. It took about two months to ship it back to China for me. No fault of toro, but Chinese postal service isn't up to the standards of elsewhere it would seem. Plus the customs risks. I gave it for dead and seized after a few weeks. Won't make that mistake again!

Gen has sapphire but I love the look of gen plexi, sub dials still look to far spaced for me to jump on it. Nice watch!

Finally got to take some better pics of the watch, Im not put off by dial spacing to be honest, looks like the old automatics and exactly as the blueprint for the original Moonwatch, more impressed with sword hands and applied logo

Looks great! Nice photos too. The stock crystal looks fine there; are you still gonna swap it out?

If I find a rep friendly watch smith I might get it done. but not priority... selling my gen is for xmas money... lol

Just wanted to say thanks for the great information! I ordered two Omega speedmasters from Toros. One being his starter quartz and the 2013 Numbered Edition.

Could be fine if you post some pics of the two to compare [emoji6]
I want to buy one for my son's birthday (not a teen ... he's 26) and I really dont know wich one to choose.

Considering I just confirmed both QC pictures, it'll be a while before I get the watches. I have my dad's gen to compare to so I'll have all 3 watches to take pics of. Let me know if I should do a comprehensive review of all 3 watches, I'm not sure if there is already one out there. I would definitely get him the automatic one. The quartz one has flat subdials and to a non watch enthusiast, is a dead giveaway.

A comparison would be great. I don't recall seeing a side by side with gen moonwatch before

In fact I'd better give him a 145.022 model cause he's born 1990 ... but sword hands of the 2013 special edition are such beauties.
Considering the backcase I will have to swap with one like this

Problem is :

or 130$ at ofrei ... only that seamonster engraved but I can engrave the text myself
If anybody knows where I can buy a cheaper case back (with the see monster) :helpsmilie:
