I paid way way too much, cause it was b4 I found this site, I'm not sure until my credit card statement comes thru, I bought it in US dollars and I think it may have been around the $400 mark!!!! Bought from Allswiss watches (Not a recommended Dealer) and some very disturbing reviews on the net of their service and backup. At the end of the day I've learned a lesson, only buy from TD's.
I reckon even tho I paid too much at least a watch even arrived and I'm pretty happy with it, I do love your gen glass tho. Maybe somewhen, but I'm not sure if this is the watch to do it on?. Thanks for your input, much appreciated
Yesterday the lower pusher of my Omega FOIS (Toro) came out. I managed somehow to screw it back in. This watch has obviously a construction problem with the pushers, since several members have reported the same issue.
Has anybody figured out where the problem is, and how to prevent/avoid that the pushers come lose?
Did you try some middle or low strength threadlocker like Loctite 290 or 222 ?Yesterday the lower pusher of my Omega FOIS (Toro) came out. I managed somehow to screw it back in. This watch has obviously a construction problem with the pushers, since several members have reported the same issue.

I didn't think they screwed in, but maybe I'm wrong. I remember reading in the moonwatch thread that they are held in place by a tiny 'E' shaped clipDid you try some middle or low strength threadlocker like Loctite 290 or 222 ?
You put it on the case thread (not on the pusher) and use an oiler to push it all along the thread.
I never tried that on a watch but I use Loctite 243 on my bike and it works perfectly (threads well blocked but not that hard to unscrew).

I dont know either cause I dont have that watch, but as @michael7752 wrote " I managed somehow to screw it back in" I supoosed they were screwed in.I didn't think they screwed in, but maybe I'm wrong. I remember reading in the moonwatch thread that they are held in place by a tiny 'E' shaped clip

I'm working on a build project based on that watch, precisely a145.022 reference moonwatch dated 1990.
It will a 27th birthday present for my youngest son (his elder brother will soon receive a 16800 Comex Submariner dated 1984 ... a really tough build).
But before ordereing anything I'd like to know where are the pitfalls and if some of them are deadteaps.
So since you have had that watch for a long time niw, it would be very kind if you could post a summary of all the issues you encountered and how you fixed it (or not).

So it seems to be a fragile watch, aint it ?For me the chrono button came loose 3 times in total; always the same one. The movement died and required a jumpstart from my modder. Now it runs ok, but the PR is starting to wane I think. I'd probably try buying it from a TD that has bomb-proof packaging (Marvellous Replica has been the best in this regard from my experience) to minimise the chances from the get go. Good luck
