Well after you have to glue your hands and number markers back on comes a time when you have to toss it. Why would you continually repair a rep watch?? Kinda like remodeling a bathroom on your rented house.

If you bought a tissot at the same cost of a rep, would you toss it away because the markers came loose, or will you send it in for repair?
I don't see why a $300 rep will be tossed away when people will most likely send their $300 gen for repair.

No one disputes that reps can look very close to gens. Put those watches in my hand and I will tell you right away which is gen. Quality not on the same planet.

Well if I bought a gen at the same price I would take it back to the dealer and have it fixed for free. Of course the will spend 300 on a gen repair. And possibly 0 if it is still under warranty.When you gonna pull the plug on that rep?? Hopefully before repairs are more than you paid for the watch.
The Tissot is a gen, the others are reps.... all do run well for a couple of years, which do You choose?
I wonder how much high end rep you ever had in your hands. Buy both of the watched introduced by [MENTION=56255]Subjeff[/MENTION] wear them and then tell me that they are world's apart. This is simply not true.

Maybe you should check your sources. The right rep may appreciate a lot in value as well.
You seem very angry and disgruntled. There is no reason why a good quality rep should not last for at least a few years if not longer. What kind of watch are you glueing the hands onto?

I find it difficult to believe that anyone who had held in their hands a significant number of high end reps and gens would be able to make such a judgement without those wonderful paranormal skills
I have a number of Reps which I have had for moore than 10 years , from back in the days when they were not even anywhere near as good as they are now.
The longevity of any watch, rep or gen mainly depends on the person wearing the watch. If you treat a watch like sh*t, the watch will eventually run like sh*t(rep or gen). Why repair it? B/c the repair for a rep is not over 600$+, like the genuine, which is most certainly more than that. This is where common sense comes in, if you're really attached to a rep watch then maybe you will spend almost as much money as you would a new rep.(PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT & value things differently, we all do. It's human nature!). But in most cases repair for a rep is cheap and easily affordable.

Well I have a genuine Rolex Deepblue on my wrist and a latest copy DSSD in my hand. Winding is completely smoother. Can hear the rotor on rep. Bracelet very obvious. Back is different color. Should I go on Captain Assume? You really believe a rep and gen are not worlds apart in quality?? Sorry but it is simply true no matter what you keep telling yourself.
