Authenticity Check - Submariner 116610

Hey guys, been out of the scene for quite a while. I'm looking to pick up a pre loved gen from a local guy tomorrow and need to confirm if this looks authentic. He has all paperwork and warranty card which should match the serial on the watch, but I figured it doesn't hurt to check with the experts as I know the factories have upped their game over the years:

Meet the guy at a authorized dealer that services watchs. Have them give a estimate to service. If it is a rep they will tell you. No offensive to anyone but 6-9k is too much money to depend on a few pics and a online discussion.

Crown. And bezel look good. As does the end link fit..

Looks ok from those front pics. Since you will hold it, unscrew the crown and check correct winding.

Looks legit to me. Again, the second hand tells me it's gen.
Not to mention the rehaut. The ar cyclop..etc

Setting the time as gmg suggested would confirm it pretty much. It should set clockwise while all eta and eta clones set counterclockwise.

All this could be accomplished with a expensive franken build but it's very unlikely.

Simply winding the crown is not confirmation of it being gen. A yuki movement can easily pass this test. Yuki can also take gen dial and gen hands. So that's also not a good way to authenticate.

Take it to an ad and crack that case open. Check the movement. Check the case engravings. Serial numbers etc.

I'll never understand why people who buy gens don't do their due diligence when dropping cash on a gen. It's a small inconvenience for peace of mind.

Either it's one hell of a franken or it's straight up gen.

The engravings look too good to be rep IMO.

Yep def has gen bezel, dial, and hands. Also looks like gen bracelet as sel fit looks gen as is slightly recessed

As said above it's either gen or the best Franken we,ve seen!
