dear friends, I want to share my experience with you… yesterday I was lucky enough to be able to see up close and even try a panda from AD… I have a v4 noob with cf ring…. the difference from the gen is incredible…. what a disappointment !! depriving it I immediately noticed the huge difference from the shape of the case !! and the ring the difference is abysmal, the gen ring and a much deeper layered color I don't know how to explain ... really incredible what a disappointment !! can anyone confirm or i was drunk ?? :)

Unfortunately, you are right :)

The Noob, with some mods is a great looking watch, but just dont but it next to a gen :)

If this is big difference then go and buy gen
i think v4 noob is very very good watch especially if you put gen hands,no one cant tell you on the wrist that watch is fake and thats the thing, even if they look it closely, the biggest tell is 5 line text on the dial because it is bolder

I would replace the xtal gasket first with a clear / gen spec gasket. The original Noob gasket is milky and easily distinguishable (imo, even more than the hands).

edit. Personally, I have a list of replacements like this (roughly in order of bang for the buck, ymmv):
  • Gen spec xtal gasket
  • CF bezel (if ceramic, dunno about others)
  • Aftermarket hands
  • Aftermarket dial
  • Gen crown and crown tube (if current one feels gritty to screw back in)
  • Gen hands
  • Gen balance and balance bridge
  • Gen autowinder module
  • Gen bezel
  • Gen dial
If I had to choose just a few, I would put in a replacement gasket, aftermarket hands & dial and gen balance + balance bridge. Cost stays reasonable, but the effect is definitely noticeable. Obviously also have a full service done if replacing movement parts.

I did :)

And i totally agree, no one is going to call this out on your wrist if they dont know what to look for. (But if you put a fake and a gen next to each other, then yes, you will notice a lot of small differences)

Imo its more about the person who is wearing it. If you are flipping burgers at McD, a 40.000 USD value watch is proberbly going to look off :)

Exactly bro,you cant wear this flipping burgers
but again as i said, arf dial maybe and v4 ones with thinner 5 line text with gen hands is really insane watch, case thickness ,pushers, movement, everything is fine, even the bracelets are good just need one baby batch with softer shampoons and will be smooth while it is very tight and solid

Just slap in a gen dial and hands you are good to go . I do own both gens and reps , it depends on the little tweaks you do in modding or frankening. And your life style as well to pull it off. You job , house , car , cloths and surroundings etc..

The bitter truth that you are the biggest tell !

I get several emails a day from DHGate - which often make me laugh. The latest is no exception...

I mean, 2 grand has to be the record so far for jumping on the Noob Daytona bandwagon... and they don't even both to claim it's a v4!

Dont forget the pushers.
Geb tube doesnt fit a noob case without modifications.

It says "TOP N Factory". I assume by that they're implying it's Noob, but also keeping their options open to deny that's what they meant when you see what they've sent you. At which point they'll tell you it was by Fake Noob Factory. Or just N Factory.

by that I meant that there was nothing written on the dial
