Bezel is indeed a very good production now, deep engravings in the insert and the paint looks very good. SEL fitment is still so-so, the LF factory seems to make the SEL's better at the moment.

This would not need any paintjob whatsoever.

Oh, and the LF factory is sold by sead, aka. Supermirrors. Keep in mind that the Bezel on the LF kinda sucks, so does the pearl.. But the casing is looking top notch.

Not a Rolex expert and I'm looking to pick up my first rolex rep. This bezel upgrade has got me all excited . But just wondering How come no one complains about the blue ar tint on the cyclops ? That kinda bothers me as I don't see it on the gens. Maybe I'll wait for the seadweller 4000 to upgraded.

Problem with the SD4000 super rep will be that there will be even more flaws than this V5... It's the first time they replicate this watch and it always takes 5-6 versions to come very close (AP Diver, DSSD...)

But I like the SD4000 more (only the insert is a bit too busy)

Better stick with the black sub if it is the same price! The factories are all colour blind and don't really care about colour matching!

Before you start hitting the panic button on the Hulk, you need to understand that it is impossible to judge color accuracy from some online photos. Color is affected by lighting conditions, camera settings (most default settings are over saturated on consumer grade cameras -- don't get me started on cell phone cameras and color). Cell phone/tablet screens are also typically overstaturated and even even when it comes to desk top screens, calibration can make a huge difference. The only way to even attempt to compare color accuracy is if you have the gen and rep being photographed side-by-side in the same picture, under the same conditions so all other factors are equal. Also, the top makers do care about color accuracy because that's how they distinguish their product from a competitor's. It's not easy to nail down colors and shades, but noob has a pretty decent track record on this (ask anyone with an IWC Ingy Laureus). If you're concerned about color reproduction, hold off until others take delivery and see what they have to say. Chances are it's the same as the V4 (but with silver paint), but we've been surprised before.

I was checking out this picture posted by Avra. The engraving is very smooth and the paint job is pretty amazing IMHO. It looks much better than the macros I have seen of the V4. For those concerned about SEL fit, did the LF bracelet solve the gap issues on the noob?

To Mods and OP: To avoid duplicative threads, would it make sense to change the title of this thread to "Noob Sub-C V5"? Just a thought....
