New Release: Noob Skydweller

These actually look pretty good. They are definitely different from the last recent QC posted. Most notably the GMT wheel has been updated with numerals that follow the curve of the wheel. And the datewheel has been changed to look closer to the gen. The gen does have a slightly larger mag level cyclops (or larger font DW, not sure which), and a narrower date window than most other Rolex models. Especially noticeable given the large SKY-D dial. This rep date mag will take a little getting used to, but people have commented that the gen DW font looked fake due to its size.

Really hard to say bro. I wouldn't say these new dials are inferior, in fact the spacing between the crown, ROLEX, and the triangle is better. It's just the blue color that hasn't been presented well in one lighting environment. However, if it photographs poorly once it will do it again in a similar setting. I've had some blue dials that tend toward purple in certain light and it's not pretty.

I would definitely grab one of these in black or white if they aren't at a highway robbery price. I'd still like to have a YG two tone black dial on jubilee if they ever come out. Whether they are actually from a re-emerging Noob is anyone's guess. They look like decent quality to me. I still have 2 of the old Reg $158 Skydwellers and I was fine with their quality. Not VSF by any stretch but not DHGate shitters either.

Agree with you Fervid & appreciate KJ2020's thorough analysis/comparisons. Even though I do like blue, will probably be a 'safe' black dial for me, depending on the price point/availability etc.

The only really potentially good one that's being discussed here recently isn't available from any TD's yet that we know of. Welcome to the waiting game.

If you don't want to wait, you can pick up a JWF which is a not too distant second choice to the Noob V1, the one you linked at Jtimewatch that hasn't been available since before the raids.

Your perception may have been influenced by the gen WG bezel. It has a different color tone than steel.

904 vs 316 steel on a rep is not noticeable and should never be a reason to choose one rep over another. I never pay extra for 904 unless there is no choice.

Patek Philippe gens use 316. 904 is a marketing gimmick for Rolex, and now for China too. Just a way to gouge us for more money.

Check out how many of us were scammed by factories claiming they used 904 steel. It wouldn't have happened if there was a visible difference.

No doubt about 904 vs 316 steel on a rep is not noticeable! …on rep 316 and 904 maybe the same!
I don’t know what is the WG bezel…. But on the photos the gen steel looks better, also the bracalet….

anyway at the moment the only choice is wait aanother good rep of this watch….
