Is there still a significant wait time for the 5712 V2? Please share your experience/timelines with TDs, thank you. My apologies if this is the wrong place for such a question.

Just dropping a little fun piece to bide the time.
Fully modded v1, crown position, end links, bracelet, slight modification to the bezel shape, moon phase disc elevation.
V2 markers (edges bevelled) transplanted onto V1 dial, middle pinion cap plated to match hands.
Enjoy~

!!!! WARNING !!!!

Hello everyone. I want to issue a warning regarding my previous statements, that the gen moon disk can be mounted on to the clone movement. I withdraw those comments.

As it turns out. My modder/watchmaker had no issues separating the gen disk from it's gear and mounting it onto the rep disks gear, after separating that. The problems arised when he closed the watch. The thicker genuine disc got scratched and this is the result:

He explained this to me:

"i took off the replica disc from the replica gear which was glued on, then i took off the original disc from the original gear which was also glued on, so far so good, so i found out that the original disc is nothing more than a transparent plastic disc with the moon phase printed underneath, slightly thicker than the Chinese one mounted in the replica, with the mechanics bare on the counter everything worked great, once the case was put in and tightened, the dial pressed on the phase disk lunar (slightly thicker than the replica one) and rotating underneath it ruined the finish of the original disc, not completely but significantly."

This is just to let people know, that the genuine disk is far from a 1-to-1 mount onto the replica movement. So please be careful. I hope my previous comments didn't do any harm. I was in good faith. And didn't have this information before today.

NB! I won't disclose the modder. Don't even ask!
I’m truly sorry for you loss 😢
RIP 🪦

Hi guys, is my eyes having problem or this Gen 5712 dial color look the same as V2?

Gen watch people.
Learn how to differentiate a free sprung balance wheel is one, if not the first thing for a watch fan to learn. If you don’t know this is 100% a gen it will be hard to know what is a rep/fake if you ever buying a gen watch.

Haha, a watch is not certainly gen even if some parts of it look gen. 😂

Lol
I know that is a Gen, but what I’m actually asking is about the dial color.
I have't seen a PPF v2 in person but based on pics the dial color of the watch in the video looks similar to that of v2. Afaik PPF wanted/managed to reproduce the latest rendition of the gen 5712 dial. However, I like the former dial much much more. But that's me, ofc.

Anyone that's owned both the v1 and v2, do you notice the thickness difference at all? I own the v1 and I believe the thickness is around 9.6mm. I also have a v2 on the way which is apparently the same thickness as gen(8.8)

You nailed it with this post buddy. It's how most of us feel, but the V2 is accurate to gen.

I must say there's a huge difference. The V2 is so flat on the wrist. When a watch nears 10 mm in thickness, for me it's another game. It's not like the old reps that were thick and hefty on the wrist but gives flashbacks of that time.

I own a gen Nautilus (not 5712) and a gen Royal Oak. These watches are so thin and sits so low and elegant on the wrist. If you have a rep that doesn't have that thin profile, it really pops and looks different.
When i see pictures of the V1 from an angle, it's immediately noticeable to me. Maybe because i'm used to my gens, which i often wear 1-1,5 weeks straight week straight.

On the other hand, the dial color, finishing etc. i don't feel that much difference from wearing my gens to the 5712 V2, because over all it's a very well made rep and the thin profile does a lot.

Great to hear. I've noticed that with my v1 it's relatively flat but definitely sticks out a bit. My v2 is currently getting modded by AMF so excited to see how it turns out.

Exciting. Could be nice to see the pictures of your modded AMF. I haven’t seen one yet.

Some stupid questions for everyone in here;

What're you guys using for setting date and moonphase? Is there rep correction pins I can ask a TD for?
I just purchased a 5712 from M2M, got a decent deal due to the date somehow going off alignment from when the member got QC, anyone know if I can just grab my hand removal tools and place it back on the dial? Im also thinking the date correction pusher wasn't fully pushed in so kinda wondering if just getting a correction pin could resolve that.

Wooden toothpick. My advice is to press not too hard and slowly.

Mine came with a rep pusher pin.
