That doesn’t look like a clone movement to my untrained eyes.

Every pics hont showing are V1, except the last one, which is V2 with clone movement. Not sure why hont is mixing both V1 and V2 pictures

Random question, but is it possible to just buy the movement for this watch? Is this something a TD would be able to arrange or would I have to buy another watch?
I asked puretime for a quote for a movement only 5712.. they replied that they dont sell movement only for now...

My guess it when the 5712 hype cools down they will sell the 5712 v2 movement... :)

So im enjoying my 5712 v2 as a daily and it looks good with some light scratches hahah.. ....

my local watch repair has also informed me that 5712 v1 n v2 has had some issues. But the time and date was not really common.. so overall movement i was told was robust..and usually if something was broken they would really change the whole movement since i was told also that it was labor intensive and there fore more costly ... and they wont risk fixing something they cant guarantee ( the part and workmanship)... but yeah they can fix it if the client insists but it takes more time and that equates more time at the shop and again more cost

fyi the watch repair shop i went to was an area which sells reps.. but not really high end reps... but they do have 5712 v1 on order basis

This is correct. Good catch buddy. He is mixing both V1 and V2 pictures. Yes, the movement in the pictures is the clone. But but but. Please note, that in all the picture of the front the crown is protruding. But in the last picture of the movement it suddenly isn’t. Only explanation; the pictures are form the two different watches.

!!!! WARNING !!!!

Hello everyone. I want to issue a warning regarding my previous statements, that the gen moon disk can be mounted on to the clone movement. I withdraw those comments.

As it turns out. My modder/watchmaker had no issues separating the gen disk from it's gear and mounting it onto the rep disks gear, after separating that. The problems arised when he closed the watch. The thicker genuine disc got scratched and this is the result:

He explained this to me:

"i took off the replica disc from the replica gear which was glued on, then i took off the original disc from the original gear which was also glued on, so far so good, so i found out that the original disc is nothing more than a transparent plastic disc with the moon phase printed underneath, slightly thicker than the Chinese one mounted in the replica, with the mechanics bare on the counter everything worked great, once the case was put in and tightened, the dial pressed on the phase disk lunar (slightly thicker than the replica one) and rotating underneath it ruined the finish of the original disc, not completely but significantly."

This is just to let people know, that the genuine disk is far from a 1-to-1 mount onto the replica movement. So please be careful. I hope my previous comments didn't do any harm. I was in good faith. And didn't have this information before today.

NB! I won't disclose the modder. Don't even ask!

You have been very kind to publish this post. You could have remained silent and worked off your anger for ruining an original record and instead you dedicated your time to us.

Thank you very much!
