You have been very kind to publish this post. You could have remained silent and worked off your anger for ruining an original record and instead you dedicated your time to us.

Thank you very much!

Thanks buddy. Shi*e happens. It is what it is. But I want others to be careful. I think it’s not as straightforward as assumed by many of us.

Oh man! Sorry it happened to your disk.

The modder is not from here nor well known I assume?

It’s a well known modder from RWI. A skill full and respected one.

This info is so people can make an informed decision.

As I mentioned earlier. I won’t disclose the modder. I can say as much. He has been a gentleman in his behaviour. And if there is/was any issue I would take it to the mods of the forum. I wouldn’t publicly critique someone on this forum.

So please. This is the last hint question regarding the modder.

!!!! WARNING !!!!

Hello everyone. I want to issue a warning regarding my previous statements, that the gen moon disk can be mounted on to the clone movement. I withdraw those comments.

As it turns out. My modder/watchmaker had no issues separating the gen disk from it's gear and mounting it onto the rep disks gear, after separating that. The problems arised when he closed the watch. The thicker genuine disc got scratched and this is the result:

He explained this to me:

"i took off the replica disc from the replica gear which was glued on, then i took off the original disc from the original gear which was also glued on, so far so good, so i found out that the original disc is nothing more than a transparent plastic disc with the moon phase printed underneath, slightly thicker than the Chinese one mounted in the replica, with the mechanics bare on the counter everything worked great, once the case was put in and tightened, the dial pressed on the phase disk lunar (slightly thicker than the replica one) and rotating underneath it ruined the finish of the original disc, not completely but significantly."

This is just to let people know, that the genuine disk is far from a 1-to-1 mount onto the replica movement. So please be careful. I hope my previous comments didn't do any harm. I was in good faith. And didn't have this information before today.

NB! I won't disclose the modder. Don't even ask!
So sad to hear that :(
Is this possible to thin the backside of this gen moon disc to make it fit perfectly?
Because stock one is super super slim.

Good to know...

Have you also noticed that the minute hand is perhaps not well fixed and therefore, normally moving the wrist, moves on its own not showing the precise time?

mate i received mine just last week didnt like the dial colour (its no where near gen ) listed day before on M2M sales and noticed the same problem minute hand was moving on the wrist (obviously withdrew the sale) . opened the bezel to fix and turns out the hand is not the problem the pionion is, so sent to my watch maker. will update once fixed

I saw that and thought about what the culprit might be, arrived at the same conclusion, so good its confirmed. Update on how difficult / impossible it is would be greatly appreciated.

Any updates on the movement getting engraved? I asked a td in November and don’t want to keep pestering him about the same thing if someone else has asked recently.

You‘ll have to ask Buff or HKRwatch if there‘s is some custom project in the making.

Don’t expect the factories to churn out movement upgrades when they can‘t even meet the demand for this new breakthrough clone.

So far i think the only hope is a competing factory getting access to this clone like with the rolex clones or buff coming up with a decent upgrade like with the 3KF 324 SC

I've finally joined this illustrious club and can contribute with actual photos instead of just observing. Thanks to all for their content.

It makes sense that they won’t spend the extra time when demand is high, people waiting a long time for qcs..
My friend has the V1 and the movement looks really nice even though the positioning of the movement is all wrong..

I have a 3KF 5227 with the clone 324 on the way that has printed writing instead of engraved. I’ll see how if the printing bothers me in real life or not (probably won’t) before having another look at the 5712

I tried to resist until they fix the colour of the moon disc, but I am a sucker for the 5712 so I bought it lol. Happy to be part of the club
Hehe, I see you. Fortunately my v1 helps me to bear this time interval until a fixed v2. 😎

I wanted to ask, I know earlier in the thread somebody took this apart but I want to take this to service. Is there any information on the movement? Any information for the watch smith to be aware of? If I recall the screws were very fragile. Additionally, I have heard that people have said it is similar to a Hangzhou 5000A... any information would be useful for the watch smith, I want this replica to last...

1. to remove the case back turn it counter clockwise; 2. afaik this is a clone 240 movement, not a Hangzhou 5000A which powered the V1 and is finicky.

Good luck and please share your experience here.

I did some further research on some asian replica groupchats and forums and was sent this video... it's in Thai but he does a full diassembly and reassembly... pretty fucking insane.... if you're thinking about sending it to a service I would highly suggest showing them this video before they even attempt it

This is definitely a GEN. The pinions on the hands, the finishing. I'd bet money its GEN.
