What is the general feeling in regards to reliability of the movement?
Just the ppf movement, I know the ace freesprung movement are a handfull.

It has its bugs, but thats what happens when you get cost cutting for a movement as complicated as the 240 cal. Get a service when you can (if you get a 5712) and its mostly worry-free.
Yeah I mean the problem is this corrected date printing version still being called a "v2" the v2 has existed for quite some time. Guess we'll see!

They should be pretty decent as they have most of the basics taken care of - PPF case, upgraded moonphase, SW dial, pinion mods. For roughly $1400 you can get the latest version with the new style clasp. The only thing that bothers me on these are the hands and markers, but otherwise pretty decent.

I just got a fully modded one in from Spongebob where he did a lot of fantastic work to tweak the watch. He thinned out the PPF case to gen-spec, got the bezel/ case/ overall dimmensions exact to gen, removed the overly thick/ very white SW markers/ hands and put the much better PPF hands and markers on (plus white gold plated and bevelled them to make them sparkle like gen).
Despite a slight miscommunication with him - I wanted the latest SW v2 batch with the slightly improved date font, but he put on the first v2 batch (I don't think I clearly specified to him that there was a newer batch out) - the watch is still unbelievably good (and I used to own the gen). The SW dial is the first rep Patek dial that I've seen that at least resembles the gen. As a bonus, I also realized that worrying over date fonts is totally pointless given that in reality they are barely visible at arms-length.

On Saturday I will be comparing this modded 5712 to a gen. Hopefully I'll be able to get some photos, and will post a detailed review.

Thanks buddy. It’s a bad situation to be in. But I admit my own mistake. I was wrong in choosing him. I was too naive to trust his badge as a ‘Trusted Watchmaker’.

Thanks buddy. I’ve not mentioned him for this whole period to anyone. Many people have asked because they knew from previous post, when I seaked advice.
But I’ve had it with him, now when he doesn’t even respect staff member instructions.
