Well, I got the v1 a month ago . At the discount price . it looks great but I admit than having an « automatic » watch with an useless balance wheel bums me off a little . I don’t expect Patek quality at 348$ but I do expect a self winding movement when I buy one …
I meant an useless rotor

The V1 is supposed to have the superior dial so take the W on some aspects & accept the L on others imo.

It's jewellery tbh. Shiny stuff on our wrist.

You probably mean the micro rotor not winding?

No problem at all for me with the V1 even though I am a working a desk job, but I am one for big hand gestures even via zoom etc.
The watch even ran when I received it from the TD and was self winding for 2 weeks in transit.

The rotor being to light to properly self wind is however something I read frequently of V2+ watches.

My watch service guy got mine open and found metal shards in the movement. Hooray for the most expensive rep I've ever bought making it a whole week on my wrist before it broke. I've reached out to Chazingtime (where I bought it), but don't expect much in the way of service after the fact.

5712 Mod List : PPF Base Watch , SWF Custom Dial , SWF Custom Hands , Moveable Endlinks , Full 3 Hands Cannon Pin Mods , SWF Custom Moonphase, Bracelet Refinishing & Polishing , VSV Custom Movement Plates With Engravings

See my comment :

I've said it multiple times but the bare minimum for this model is a service. It's one of the few watches as a replica I insist on a servicing before wearing. I don't say that about many models but yeah.

I'll save you some disappointment now. Price paid in the replica game does not ENSURE that you have high level QC.

If you like replicas, prepare to see this alot. I say it before these are not watches that are assembled in some strict QC environment.

Do remeber that these watches are assembled in apartments/shitty conditions with no care to them, people don't wear gloves, it's not a controlled humidity environment, etc.

Many people are tricked because replicas feel really good in hand, feel really solid, they look good, so they apply that logic to the movement, oh, the movement must be fantastic. Couldn't be further from the truth.

Even the "legendary" VS/VR3135, 3235, 4130, 3285 movements, these are the top of the line replica movements, but that doesn't mean they're properly assembled.

I've taken alot of my watches to my watch maker and he says most of them are poorly assembled, not oiled, improperly oiled, low quality oil, etc. Metal shavings, shards, hair, finger smudges (indicating no gloves used in assembly), not screwing down screws, pinched gaskets, missing gaskets, caseback not tightened, crystal not seated properly, etc

The difference between gen and replica is stark. Just go watch some of the "assembly" videos from the following :

Like Tudor assembles its watches in a tightly controlled humidity, postive pressure environment, with QC checks along each of the assembly step, lol, how do you think replicas cost 1/100th the price of gen? By skipping these kind of steps :ROFLMAO:

With all of the issues that seem to be arising with the v2 and now v3 5712 movements, I still think the v1 is the best way to go. There just seem to be so many cons of the latest versions for the limited pros (updated clasp and working PR).

Not only that, but dealers are selling off the v1 cheap as chips these days, I bought the steel and RG versions just recently for $288 each! if you aren't bothered about having a working PR then I truly believe that v1 is the way to go. You could even swap the bracelet with the modern one if you wanted.

Otherwise, it's buying a v3 and keeping everything crossed that nothing goes wrong, or the more costly option of buying an Ace movement, which at that point, you may as well splurge on an SW dial, hands, moondisk and capped pinion mod whilst you're at it.
Where did you purchase the rose gold ppf v1's from? thats a good price
