Yes, i think this is the biggest tell.
In other words, it seems that Ardoise on RG's biggest tell is the back case showing the 5001 and not the 5007. 5001 has no ardoise on RG. :)

I am impressed with what the rep movt factory has done with this though. Even though the 5001 movt has a huge number of differences with the gen it still sort of looks like an IWC movt of some sort. And it's more than just a cover plate like what comes on the AP RO's. Quite a lot of engineering work has gone into making this.

I agree with you. I am also inclined to think the best rep (not sure whether it is super yet) is the Laureus version (closed back case). And the dial is not that bad looking actually. :)

What are everyone's thoughts on the Rose Gold version.
Does it look cheap?
Never considered buying a gold rep

Not really a fuss since I have not even purchase one. Just a simple question.
There is actually another thread which seems to indicate that the movement is a combination of 2 movements.
Thanks for the advice anyway.

It wasn't just you, quite a few people have mentioned it now. The watch has been out less than a couple of weeks so no real indication to the reliability is going to be viable yet. Even if it is a combination of two movements it's pretty irrelevant, get any rep serviced on arrival and it will last you the test of time for at least what you would expect considering the cost.
