There is a great pic on page 147 of the white gold/silver numbers. That's what I ordered. I think it's more formal (to me) than some of the others...it's a dress watch for me suit/sportcoat, and I think it's subtle. I don't want a ton of attention when I'm working...rose gold and most of my clients will think I'm charging them too much. They are all really nice. Go with your gut, there is no wrong answer.

Thanks C5000

on looking at the IWC website the model might be fantasy?

Anyhow, it looks incredible in those pics and I'm thinking that I can pair it with both a black and a brown strap for all eventualities :)

Oh no....
What an idiot I have been.
I ordered straps from VNHANDCRAFT on Ebay.
If you do, do not make the same mistake I did.
I looked on the straps that mentioned IWC in the 22mm section but in that section there is also some 21mm straps and that is what I ended up ordering without paying attention to the "21mm" comment.
So now I have two straps incoming that will be useless..

sent from.... none of your business ;)

I have not so good news. Less than a week in, suddenly having problem with the watch. Every time the second hand reaches the 40 second mark, it stops moving. I gave it a shake and after some time it moves again, only to stop moving once it reaches 40 seconds mark again.

Have emailed Ryan yesterday but have not heard from him. Anyone can tell me how long is the watch under warranty from the TD?

Haha... well... that is if I decide to get a spitfire.
Do you have any source on the fact that they are releasing a Spitfire and if so, what model?

Send him an email. He might be able to "custom" make it to 22mm for you. They are actually quite nice folks.

Does the hand look like it's touching the dial?

Yet Domi said all good. I wonder if he could give some insight into its weaknesses.

If it's not the hand touching then it's something coming lose in transit and now causing a blockage, it's happened on a 6497 PAM I own and a 2892-2 and those movements are pretty solid esp the unitas so I wouldn't read too much into this.

The measure of the reliability will be in how they stand up in 3-4 months when they've been running regularly.

Yeah but a 6497 is pretty bullet proof and very basic. A 2892 a lot more complex but still easily sorted out and spares readily available for both. I'm not sure we actually know what this movement is based on do we?

That's true but still it remains any movement can come loose in transit, it doesn't hint that it is or isn't reliable. Availability of spares is likely gonna be an issue regardless of whether the movement craps out in 5 or 95% of cases.

My advice to everyone remains, don't cut corners get it sent for a service the second it arrives. You can all thank me later x

I'd have to agree with that.
