That's true but still it remains any movement can come loose in transit, it doesn't hint that it is or isn't reliable. Availability of spares is likely gonna be an issue regardless of whether the movement craps out in 5 or 95% of cases.

My advice to everyone remains, don't cut corners get it sent for a service the second it arrives. You can all thank me later x

Ha. Where I live, I'd expect to encounter a grand total of 0 people who have even heard of IWC. That's not the point. In choosing a watch, the only person I'm aiming to satisfy is myself. I think a stainless case that mimics a $9000 watch is more suitable to me than one that pretends to be valued at 2x that much or more.

Yes these are my 5001 collection. I've just ordered a new croc for the silver Ardoise, if I decide to sell any, I'll let you guys know [emoji106] but I love them all!!!!

I agree too.
On a side note, I went to an AD yesterday and I tried out the white dial as well as the ardoise. I have to say these:
1) both sit well on a sub 6 inch wrist. So it is good news for small wrist folks.
2) the ardoise one has this more prominent sunburst effect which makes it so much better than the white dial
3) have not tried the laureus but I believe it also will have the excellent sunburst effect. Someone can perhaps chip in as well?

Can't really understand all the fuss over the movement reliability. Just buy it and send it for a service, get it cleaned up and re-oiled, it's not a complicated movement like the 7750 so chances are it will be fine

In fact, I have talked to one of the local watch smiths and he said since it is a combination of different movement (or indeed a new movement). He is quite reluctant to open it as he is not familiar with it.
