One thing I have noticed - totally useless in the dark! The lume is rubbish!!

I am not aware that this model has the lume function. In fact, I am not sure whether it is common / possible for portofino vs portuguese to have lume hand.

One thing for those with winders it looks as if the rotor is bidirectional (uses a similar double clutch wheel winding system to a 2824) so set your winders as if it was a 28** movement.

And for a total idiot like me, what does that mean?

Imagine a watch smith not willing to work on it just because he's not familiar with it. Is he familiar with every gen movement ever made? What if it was a rare gen! Pussy.

Cos he will be liable if he spoilt it..

It means if you use a watch winder then use the settings as if it's a 28** movement. So my winder I'll set to forward and reverse at about 700 turns per day.

What's the point of being a watch smith then? The same liability applies regardless of the watch!! I wouldn't have much confidence in him in this case.

Precisely, he will be liable of the movement regardless the model as long as he accept to work on it. But working on one that he is unfamiliar with means that he will have more chances of damaging it, and hence will prefer to reject instead.

received mine, nice watch. Dial and DW no issue. BUT i have problem with rotor touching the glass and making noise. I am the un-usual unlucky one. Spotted there is an uneven at the movement and perhaps is a screw which not screwed in properly.

Do you think to get a replacement or it can be fix easily. Any reputable Rep friendly watchsmith recommended? Any help would be appreciated.

This should most probably be quite an easy fix for a watchsmith.
