Also, I did age the dial and hands to get that nice cream color. The stock hands+dial are way too white.Looks great! Is this a Raffles dial? Which hands did you use?

Milk, Viet, WSO or Ric's. I've got one from Ric's and it's actually pretty good.Do you know a good source for one?
I really like the color. What technique did you use? Also, I did age the dial and hands to get that nice cream color. The stock hands+dial are way too white.
I vé bought 2 whole bezel assembly and thought that they will fit straight my cyclope 116, but on bezel was ok AT 30.2, and thé other one no, 30.3, After discussions with bivintage he send me another bezel, but same diameter, 30.3mm and its loose of 0.1mm with the plexy i used. What do you mean, only one assembly fit? You got two that were different sizes?
I used an original Eta 2836 movement (with long seconds pinion) modifying it into a GMT with parts from a non-working Asian 2836 GMT.Need some feedback on movement choice for this build ..
Should I go for a vintage (used) low beat 2846 ETA and modifie it to a gmt with parts from the asian 2836 gmt or should I go for a brand new 2836 ETA and modifie it with the same asian 2836 gmt part .
My question is this : is the pinion on the center wheel of the new ETA 2836 the same size /length as the ETA 2846 ? Otherwise the 2836 is half a mm wider a 1/ 8 of mm shorter than the 2846 ... should not have any impact in fitting in this case ..
Has anyone used a new Swiss ETA 2836 on this build ?
Sounds like it's probably the same crystal I ordered from the UK?Crystal hunting update.
After many many tries, i might have found a solution that sort of works:
https://www.ebay.de/itm/116066411301
Finally the correct bevel and cyclops on the correct position with acceptable magnification and cyclops size.
The quality is not great, some edges are quite rough.
I sorted this out with a bit of polishing.
The main issue is that the crystal walls are too thin.
It therefore sits very loose on the raffles cases rehaut.
Since i went quite desperate with this issue, my solution for now was to extend the rehaut with one layer of masking tape and then glue the crystal and retaining ring in place with hypo cement.
Not the most elegant solution and i would not go swimming with the watch, but for now i am quite happy with the overall result.
Did you order on gleave and co?Sounds like it's probably the same crystal I ordered from the UK?
Just about perfect, but too thin!
Looks great on that beautiful watch of yours either way. Thanks for the update and excellent photos too.
I did not. I ordered from the seller WatchYard on eBay, but I didn't post it here because he ran out of them. In other words, he wasn't sure if he would get any more, so I didn't want to share a "dead link," so to speak.Did you order on gleave and co?
