Everyone is free to express their opinion and buy what they want, but if you tell me that aftermarket crystals or at least mine have the wrong magnification here you are wrong and in the previous posts we had already talked about this because you had also tried the crystal I mounted finding a minimal difference on the imperceptible chamfer. The solution is behind the door buy the original crystal and solve the problem or maybe not because there is the probable risk that it will break during the forcing with the Raffles case.
To give you an example I to avoid problems with the bezel inserts since I am fixated on the minimum details I did that buy it GEN ;)
Just to show the different magnification between gen and your? crystal. Since you are adamant there is no difference...

Don't get me wrong, still the best aftermarket crystal i have.
And for that reason currently installed. So great Job.
But please don't try to tell me the magnification is the same...

My transitional 6542/1675 fantasy build

Took off the crown guards, aged the polished the case (a week in my pocket with change and house keys)
Added a 6mm crown (from Raffles, didn't need to change the tube) chamfered the inner side that meets to case
Reduced the underside of the bezel to clear the crown (increased the angle)
Added a shim washer under the bezel to tighten it up to gen spec action
Aged the bezel - too much for me actually
Aged the dial and hands, and added a small pointer GMT hand
Champagne date overlay
Dome crystal no Cyclop
Watertight in a basin but not pressure tested

Alas I'm not keeping this one as it's built for my brother-in-law...

On mine I don't notice any differences, the problem is probably on your crystal. But as I've already told you more than once you just have to buy the GEN crystal, so it's perfect. Take care ;)

Interesting, there seems to be quite a bit of variance in magnification across gen models as well. See here for reference:

Have you seen them in real life as well? If so, what is the quality? I don't really like his 'normal' 1675, so I'm wondering if this is indeed a better quality one.

I’ve purchased a few. They’re the standard quality you’d expect from raffles. I personally upgraded to a mochacha dial.

What is the diameter of the Yuki dial? I was under the impression that the Yuki dial's diameter is too small for the Raffles case.

@cradle101 the Yuki dial will "fall" through the rehault if pushed, but because it is secured to the movement, and the movement with it's holding ring is too large to pass through the rehault, everything remains secure....there is however absolutely no tolerance for misalignment when securing everything up with the movement tabs.

Thanks for the explanation. That's a very trick solution then, but worthwhile I guess, since the Raffles dials aren't great.
