Negative experience with ChazingTime - falsified timegrapher pics, non-running watch shipped.

After a few days of reading and following up, here’s my real personal take: I’m actually glad Sead never provided timegrapher shots — at least not in my case. That’s one less thing to worry about.

If I don’t want a timegrapher photo, which I consider completely pointless, why should I bother? By pointless, I mean that a timegrapher reading is meaningless unless the rep is tested over several days. Even if that were the case, the shipping process afterwards could completely throw things off. A week in transit can turn everything upside down.

I also think QC photos are useless too but since everyone is doing, I won't go against the world.

I never look at the numbers. Indeed shipping can mess them up.
I do take that as proof the watch is running at time of shipping

I have found that some really good car salesmen know the least about the product they are selling. If you ask if it has a particular feature they tell you it has whether or not it actually does.

Years ago I was in a BMW main dealer. The model I was looking at came in 231 BHP or 215 BHP. I asked what the BHP was. The salesman confidently told me it was 170 BHP. I asked him if he was sure as I said I did not think it came in a 170BHP version? He said he would ask his manager. So he came back and said he was wrong. It was even better as it was 190 BHP. I thanked him for his time and walked out. That is just one of many examples.

I know another guy who is one of the top car salesman in the country. I can assure he has no clue about cars or their technical features.
When I bought my RS6 a few months back, the sales girl was more interesting showing me the different colours the ambient lightening went whilst I was outside the car touching myself to carbon ceramic brakes. Turns out the speech on the pink LED footwells and the purple trim light sold the car to he missus and I didn’t even need to argue when we got home why we needed another car. Sometimes little is better 😂🤝🏾

Glad I could help @Dave2302 😂 the Akrapovic exhaust was a must whilst it was away on its “detail”. Not sure what she meant when it came home and she said it sounded louder🤷🏽‍♀️ just remember the pink footwells honey 🥰

I’m sure you’re playing with something special or out of the ordinary to be out in the cold!

On a note back to the post all very informative, which is a shame given it was off the back of “mishap”. When it comes to watches obviously very different to cars I’m a lover but have no clue on movements etc etc and literally just that “trusting” in the person/dealer I’m getting it off. Great to see people coming together especially mods in this case so hats off to @trailboss99

Sadly not a Car, but a rather large Car Port / Workshop Extension to keep the cars outta the foulness of our Heilan winters ;)

Also got other building projects around the place to crack on with, and so building and pre staining frames etc under cover is a great way to extend the amount of time per year we get here to actually build things. We are heading south on Tuesday night for a week so I want to finish the side wall off before we go (y)

Looks like I'll be doing the 750 mile round trip sideways in Snow, at very least until we get outta the Highlands :D

Don’t want to fill the thread unnecessarily!

Safe journey Dave! Plenty of shots on the eye candy and enjoy!

Why the employee would do something like this?
What was he earning from such act?
The "earn" is not having to go back to the factory as right now, that is dangerous. The police are watching everything at the moment, QC people act as the runners and some of them are getting nabbed by the cops when picking up/dropping off watches. If it's not broken, he doesn't need to get it exchanged.

Well hell. I love the watch, but Chazing has apparently been doing this for a while. This is from May 2024. My watch but the same exact timegrapher photo. Of course, I have no idea what I was looking at, so I saw nothing wrong.
I received my QC for CT recently, 12 Nov 2024....still no video of QC and same cover...i already GL and shipped. Waiting for the watch to arrive.

Ok, now this is just embarrassing. This shit has been going on for at least 6 months. I mean it sucks that I'm sure a bunch of people have been sent watches which were DOA. But we as a community should have caught this WAY sooner. At a certain point you can't blame the wolf for eating lambs if we're acting like sheep.

@psychospike come on. Fired the employee ok. even if its true. why do others do this? Never saw such an issue at other TDs. And do they think the watch fixes itself and wont cause any problems after shipping? I just want to understand but I simply dont have enough fantasy to think about how its not intentionally done.

Sure 58 is to much. As @dogwood stated there is 30+ degrees difference in measuring cause those movements have much lower lift angles.

And still plastiline on Power led Someone could explain why?
Chazingtime was tagged before, he can explain why and i bet he will soon. In his own interest.

I bei bet

Just for a little bit of clarity .... The poster a few posts above said that he received QC pics (and showed the pic) dated 12 Nov with the offending blob covering the red light. The TD said (on page 4 of this thread) that on Saturday 16 Nov the offending staff member had been fired. So we won't know if it's STILL happening unless someone posts a pic taken AFTER 16 Nov.

Not trying to make an excuse for anyone, just trying to show the timeline.
