This would be us inspecting the result of that interaction...

Not you. I don't see a single ear-muffed watch in that photo.

I'm an admin... we don't deal with the little stuff... that's why I have my concierge Seanf to coordinate those types of things... feel free to use his services at your leisure...

and don't forget restaurant reservations and those hard to get opera tickets.

Oh, in that case, seanf is still correct? Panerai's are not for ladies?

Seanf is always wrong...

LoS, I gotta tell you, that picture--in no way--helps you on your sad and lonely quest to make everyone see the beauty of PAMs. As I've said, just because you stick some diamonds on something does not make it a ladies' watch. A watch for men who enjoy the company of other men in the biblical sense, perhaps. But not for ladies.

It is a ladies watch... and it is a special edition to commemorate AP's sponsorship of the Lady Cat catamaran team...

Just to clarify something. I've worked for an America's Cup sailing team. We had a female pitman (the person who tightens and loosens the wenches for the sails) on the team. This female sailor, while very nice and lovely, was built like a linebacker. Quite literally. She was 5'2" and about 160 lbs. So the point being, if you're trying to make the case that huge ass watches are appropriate for regular women, you may not want to rely on an all female sailing team to support that proposition.

How about these diamond encrusted earphones?

These are yours too?

I think I could get you some help, if you are ready to admit that you have a problem.

Darling, I'm with you on the Panerai's and you really are one of my favorite people here, but oh dear, you can't expect me to let this one go by without comment.

"Loosens the wenches???"

Wenches does not equal winches.

Ooops. Heh. Guess that's what the kiddies call a Freudian slip. Although I wasn't a part of the all-female America's Cup crew back in 1995, I knew some of the people on that team. And, as you would imagine, a lot of the lady sailors enjoyed the company of the other lady sailors in a not-entirely-wholesome manner. So, in that respect, "loosen the wenches" is, while maybe a little crass, also very accurate.

Well, in that case, I'm glad that they've got a designated person for that particular role.

It was more of a floating position, as I recall. There were one or two designated batters, though.

Unfortunate as it's very difficult to get anything done while floating.

You've obviously never been with an all-female sailing team.

I think we may have to put ahw on the fast track to a staff position... this much banter in her first 141 posts?

I have no watch information, therefore can do nothing but banter.

This place is starting to seem like 4chan

You mean this "post" is starting to seem like 4chan. No need to cry there is plenty of stuff to absorb and contribute to in other threads here on this watch forum. Cheer up. :D

Thanks for clearing that up. Given that I'm at work though, I dare not to open that site until later. I'm guessing that I won't see avatars like bunnies playing the maracas and penguins knocking each other over.

In deference to the lone remaining person in this post interested in actually talking about watches (a novel concept, to be sure), I'm moving this to off-topic.

And guys-- I think we may have just found our new unofficial moderator of the Looney Bin. We need someone to replace Sub4Me after all.
