That is their trademark signature crown guard. It protects the crown from being accidentally left open or deployed. I have heard that they have sued more companies for copying it than any other element of their design. They always mention the trademark in their sales literature too.

AH, just resist the urge. Rolex is like the pot of the replica world. It's a gateway drug. PAMs, however, are like heroin. Stay away from that stuff. You can see how debilitating it can be. For example, LoS can't go fifteen minutes without bringing up something about the correct millimeter placement of the crown guard. Hooligan has it even worse. He actually had three PAMs surgically implanted in his chest so he would always have them near.
