For the 2013 limited edition from Toro, where would one source a broad arrow seconds hand for mods?

I understand the flaws are the missing 'professional' and the seconds hands and of course the sub-dial spacing. I can live with the wrong sub-dial spacing. IMO this would be the best watch to vintage and just a change in the seconds hands to a broad arrow would make it perfect.

The plan is to build a 105.003 speedmaster.

Any tips guys?

Thanks.

I don't know sorry, but I'd love to see you figure it out. It's a great looking base

Kenny, who is the be all and end all for modding the Speedy, told me this was the best handwind you could buy. Any dealer can get it, but MR has it for $200. I got it from him and its an awesome watch. The most comfortable watch I've owned.

I've not gotten around to replacing the sapphire crystal or freezing the 6 hand, but I will eventually.

Hello,
I recently got a Speedmaster Mark II from dhgate (like the new guy I am) and it showed up a different size that was listed. I like everything about it but the size. I've peeked around some TD's for a quartz markII that has a 40-42mm case width but haven't had much luck. Honestly, I gave up and am taking the lazy route--asking you fine people. Also, it looks like the gen comes in 45mm? So maybe I'm after a fantasy watch. Here's a link to what I have--it's just too big.

Thanks for any help!

EDIT: I'm actually interested in anything with the racing dial....the cool pattern on the indices. -hope that makes sense

Thanks for the info, can you show us the height of the crystal?

Thanks again.

Hey guys,

After reading this thread and researching for a week, I think I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on my first rep.

I've decided to go with the quartz speedmaster off of http://www.tb-688.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=37_142&product_id=153I because I don't necessarily care as much as the mechanics of the watch as I do the aesthetics.

I still have a few questions though.

1) Are these replica watches water resistant?

2) Should I buy it though ToroBravo off of RWI or just buy it through their website?

Thanks for all the info on this thread. It has been a big help.

@NCRich: if you have a pic of the back, could you post it? It's a clear one, right? Sorry for my ignorance, but what's the correct back -- closed or clear?

Great looking watch. I was thinking of the 50 year anniversary one from Marvelous, but your pic is swaying me towards your dial out of the 3 options. Or maybe it's just the pool that looks so appealing!

I'd be happy now to buy a quartz too provided the caseback was accurate.

Here are a bunch from MR

Its the best model currently available and that is by far the best price. I order all my stuff from MR.

@NCRich: I'm pretty sure I'm going to order your dial or the 50th anniversary dial. What do you like best about it? Least? I noticed, for lack of a better word, "ribbing" around the chronographs. Is that a tell? I don't think I've seen that on gens.

I know Speedmasters aren't the most accurate in the rep world, but it looks quality to me. I trust your appraisal.

Really the only thing wrong with it is the dial spacing. The bracelet is really nice and the watch is one of the most comfortable I have owned. The one I have is the classic dial to me. The 50th is nice too though.
