Looking for a speedmaster moonwatch? Info inside!

^^ nice one BigBoo ! Unfortunately not a bargain. And the date window with the sunken date wheel is a very obvious tell. But it sure looks great..congrats.

It's not only the sunken dw but more obvious the dw is too small so the window is misplaced compared to the gen. That's exactly why I did not pull the trigger yet, otherwhise I would have ordered already, the watch looks awesome!

Yes, absolutely, pretty ridiculous having them set like that. However a very easy fix to set them at 12 so this would not bother me.

I managed to set them at 12 on a little Quartz Speedmaster that I have, being a Quartz, removing the movement was dead easy.

I'd love to have a crack at doing the same on this one but so far have only managed to figure out how to remove the crown!
Is there a tutorial anywhere on how to remove the movement?

Read this thread and you'll have your answer. Long of the short is there isn't any very near to gen. You need to decide which flaws you can live with

Get yourself a quartz one, they are closest to gen in terms of the look.

No idea, I always let my watch smith doing the work. However, I'd really be interested in such a tutorial too.

2 new releases on Trusty Time and they look great; Apollo 11 40th anniversary with correct gold 9 o'clock sundial and casebook (gen is platinum, limited edition of 69) and a newly-released Apollo-Soyuz (although the case back looks like the wrong one, on this one).

What do you guys think?

I'd be curious to hear opinions on these as well.
