Looking for a speedmaster moonwatch? Info inside!

I think they may be able to make it without the subdial bleeding.

Hello guys... I have a general question (certainly asked 1000 times) for you:
I understand the problems of movement and subdial spacing and all that,
but really, how damn difficult can it be to make a proper rep of the classic moonwatch ?
I mean, it's one of the most popular watches ever...there is certainly a huge demand. I really don't understand it.
At least they could make a nice quartz, or a faux chrono, but there seems to be only bullshit available at the moment.

If you look how good they repped the latest IWC's, or Rollies, AP, PAM's (for example),
it's really hard to understand why they can't make a nice speedy.

If someone could enlighten me...much appreciated.

There are some quartz with correct sub-dial spacing, Supermirror has some. There is one with faux chrono, i believe I saw it on Trusty time (not a TD here) but being a faux chrono with 21j movement but the big second hand is running second so I don't find that too good. JF came out with a daytona that is run by 23j with faux chrono and running hands at 6.... but speedmaster is smaller and has running sec on 9... haha

The issue with speedmaster from what I found, was that there are no movement that matches the sub-dial spacing of gen speedmaster. I think we might have to spring for a gen if we really want it.

Sometimes I just wonder about the tradition thingy. Classics like Moonwatch, Heuer Monaco have long ready-buyer-list.

But because they're so classic and timeless that even the rep makers will want to have such watch in their own genuine collection (let's not deny that) and churning out a super rep just ruin that sense of achievement.

That's not an auto: it's a mechanical hand wind version (as per the gen). It's not my favourite because the subdials don't look particularly recessed

Hi! I recently bought a quartz model from Toro, who btw I have to say he is very speedy with responses and great overall. However, be advised that the caseback is wrong: it says seamaster instead of speedmaster (as per his website's pics).

I did not receive it yet, will post when I do.

It's caught between Speedy Pro and Reduced. The case size and dial is reduced-like but the transparent mechanical back plus handwind is pro-like.

Also reduced doesn't have applied Omega logo on the dial, it's the white-printed logo.

Way off, to call it 1:1 is a disgrace and i personally would never buy from them because of it. Subdials on gen are almost touching each other

So after trying to get the tintin and that failed, I just had the guy send me this. 21j, non working sub dials. Top pusher advances the 9 oclock sub dial, bottom advances the 3 oclock. 6 oclock is 12 hr. Damn thing has a seamaster caseback lol
