I'm thinking of buying this version of the moonwatch. Does anyone know if the chronograph operates correctly using the two hands at 2 & 4 o'clock. I can't get an answer via email from the seller.

It should as it is the A7750 model, but you should read up on the problems with A7750 movement chronos, (hands not resetting ,pusher mech. breakage etc.)The A7750 can be reliable after a service, but service can be expensive.
The ST manual wind model is more reliable without work , if you plan to use the chronos.

Hi Guys,

is the no quartz version on the market, with correct subdials and running (or ticking) seconds on 9.00?

Do the watches linked above from puretime have recessed subdials? They look flat in the photos but its may be the angle.

For those possibly interested in the $128 reliable, shockproof, precise quartz stopwatch version with correct plexi and bracelet, ticking secs at 6 and incorrect lettered but recessed subdials this is one (also available from Toro). Weak lume on the hands only is a drawback, the readability of the white on black is fantastic, feel and weight too.

Hello Guys. Like the rest of you I have been on a search for the most accurate Rep for the speedmaster. I bought the Seagull model but I was never happy with it because I have a Gen 1969 Speedy in my box. I think I have found the best case to go Franken. This came in the mail yesterday. http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/170507-sold-omega-speedmaster-broad-arrow-42mm/ It is within 1 mm of accepting a gen dial/movement. If you look at a gen movement it has a steel ring. I am hoping to sand/mill this down to get it to fix inside this case. I am going on vacation for 7 days and wanted to share this before I left. I plan on sourcing a used movement and dial. Then Installing Broad Arrow hands.. I know it does not have straight lugs like the c2915 but these are reps after all.

let me know if you wanna sell the seagull model :D
ive been on the fence about ordering one.. theyre beautiful. the sub dial spacing really doesnt bother me all that much but i hate ordering shit from china.
there has been a few for sale in M2M but the good priced ones are gone quick and the rest are waay overpriced imo.

maybe ill pull the trigger one day and just order from puretime.
i honestly want a gen of this watch but def need to try out the rep first. im usually not a big fan of small watches (40?)

Great thread, before pulling the trigger this has been an enlightening read. I now know that the Seagull movement variant is the one to go for, it will accept the gen plexi and gen case back, and how to freeze the chrono hand. I'll be pulling the trigger in the next few days. Before I do, very quickly, this is the one isn't it, it's a 38 but I believe the TDs need to get their measuring stick out as it's actually a 40:-

Seems like a steal for $228 + shipping, compared to some I've seen going on M2M in particular.

Any of you know if the reps bezel can pop off like the gen?
I bought one from a M2M sale and the bezel needs to move over like 2mm.
I don't have it yet but tryin to figure out how to move it. If it comes off like the gen, I'll prob pop the bezel off and reinsert it right. If it doesn't, I'm gonna need a heat gun and a xacto. I'm hoping I won't need a xacto.

The insert is glued down, but comes off pretty easily. Apply some heat and it pretty much falls off itself!

actually, i just popped the bezel off and reinstalled it so it was aligned with 60. (it was about 2mm to the right).

i even had the heat gun out thinking this bezel didnt come off but figured id give it a shot. took a case opening knife, a cloth napkin, put it in between the bezel and case and it just popped right off.

i do wanna get a gen insert though. anyone know which model number fits this watch?

why do you wanna put a gen case back on it?
seems like a waste of money.
i know the movement doesnt have the omega engravings but the subdials already is a major tell anyway.
if someone wants you to take the watch off to see if its real, they already know. lol
besides, there are so many versions of this watch including a clear case back.

40 with the crown.

Not to be confused with the "Ruby" version that many people here have -

41.5mm case - It has more body on the crown and pusher side, giving it deeper crown guard appearance

(This is the version TynoPrime recently sold in the M2M section)

^^^ ive never seen one like that before...

my rehaut is black but the rest of it looks the same.

ok so that makes yours the 3rd version ive seen.
the one i really want is the one that has the grey-ish looking dial in sunlight and the swirls in the recessed sub dials.
like this one http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=91212

mine are recessed but no swirls. you cant really tell its recessed unless youre looking at it at a certain angle in bright light.

my crystal is also domed. not flat like yours..
i always thought there was only 2 version of this rep.
is yours a manual ST19 movement too?

edit: ok yours is the same as the one in the link i posted.
im totally jealous.
thats the dial i want.
i do prefer my domed crystal and black rehaut over yours but your dial is so much prettier.

i wonder if someone can source me that dial.....

Both are great IMO but it would be awesome if I could get my case/crystal and your dial. :)

The "ruby" comes with crystal but most people swap it out for the gen plexi.

While your crystal is domed - the plexi actually protrudes out. Which changes the look substantially - including what the rehaut looks like

Lots of pics of his and mine both pre and post plexi and freeze in Tyno's thread here - http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=169290

yea. i honestly dont like the domed plexi. i thought about doing it before i got the watch bc i thought the crystal was gonna be flat but once i saw that i was slightly domed like my PO, i decided to leave it alone.

i do wanna freeze the sub dial but i havent worked up the courage to mess with this movement yet.
i didnt think it would bother me but it does for some reason.

i did mange to bust a stem on a PAM homage today so i think ill just leave watches as is for a while or maybe pay someone to do it and get a relume.
the lume on these tiny hands and dials are terrible!
