I'm thinking of buying this version of the moonwatch. Does anyone know if the chronograph operates correctly using the two hands at 2 & 4 o'clock. I can't get an answer via email from the seller.

Hello Guys. Like the rest of you I have been on a search for the most accurate Rep for the speedmaster. I bought the Seagull model but I was never happy with it because I have a Gen 1969 Speedy in my box. I think I have found the best case to go Franken. This came in the mail yesterday. http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/170507-sold-omega-speedmaster-broad-arrow-42mm/ It is within 1 mm of accepting a gen dial/movement. If you look at a gen movement it has a steel ring. I am hoping to sand/mill this down to get it to fix inside this case. I am going on vacation for 7 days and wanted to share this before I left. I plan on sourcing a used movement and dial. Then Installing Broad Arrow hands.. I know it does not have straight lugs like the c2915 but these are reps after all.
Great thread, before pulling the trigger this has been an enlightening read. I now know that the Seagull movement variant is the one to go for, it will accept the gen plexi and gen case back, and how to freeze the chrono hand. I'll be pulling the trigger in the next few days. Before I do, very quickly, this is the one isn't it, it's a 38 but I believe the TDs need to get their measuring stick out as it's actually a 40:-

Seems like a steal for $228 + shipping, compared to some I've seen going on M2M in particular.
this is the exact model i have and i can assure you its 38mm.
40 with the crown.
