Hey Braith, did the gen second hand fit on the ST-19?
Arrived today. Short answer... kinda... but not really
I bought two (cousins - X8543J), in case I stuffed one I up I wouldnt have to wait weeks to have another go - and Im glad i did...
It turns out the gen has a really long, thin "tube" which isnt really compatible with the ST-19, I thought I could shorten the tube on the first one but stuffed it up.
On the second attempt I tried to open it a little by pressing a pin into the tube and it worked a little as I was able to fit it - but its really high.
Not a great result but better than what I had - my previous second hand would flop around as I moved my arm.
Couple pics - (and yes, its a little off center, I will fix it next time I open it up - for now Im good)

The gen (on the right) is a bit longer and doesnt have a bend in the end like the rep - I dont think it would fit under the crystal that the rep comes with - I think you would need the gen plexi.
The hand stands out on the face a bit - its much whiter than the others, and the Lume is great, makes me want to re-lume the rest.
Does anyone knwo whether I could fit a gen dial please help thanks
Ofrei, cousinsuk and ebay are a few sources...
Thanks i have sourced one just dont know whether the subdials will line up
Hey mate, I think Pap might have mis-read your post.
The subdials wont line up - you would need a gen movement too. As far as I know at least.

Well on the gen it ISNT black. So I'm not sure why people do it. The rehaut is however significantly deeper than the gen, which is why it shows more on the rep. Once you have gen plexi with the black tension ring it hides a lot of it anyway. I personally would leave it silver (as I did on mine)
I just realized that the last batch of pics of my CK2915 were from some time ago, before I had even upgraded the endlinks. Here are my two Speedies today:

Thanks to everyone who PM'd me with compliments, and "Great job!" to the people contributing to this thread--now more than two years old!
On your speedy pro, what band is that? Looks like an early band. Is that an example of a a painted rehaut? Hard to tell. Great looking watches btw.
Thanks! The band is a ref. 1450 a.k.a. "The Holy Grail Bracelet". It's the first Speedmaster bracelet with solid links and solid end-pieces. More importantly to me is the three rows of brushed links, which I think look much better than any of the more modern bracelets.
As noted earlier in the thread, the rehaut on the gen isn't painted. That's the black tension ring for the crystal.
