Hmmm, could this one actually be the highly desirable holy grail exclusive and elusive one off Rolex limited editiion "Chernobyl Oyster Perpetual" ?

I might have to list this for sale on Fleabay starting bid £9000 🙃

You guys really shouldn't put ideas in my head :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Absolutely 100% of course (y)

My problem is I like "different" I saw this on the wrist of a Brazilian car modder on a Custom Supercar show I was streaming late night, and after plenty of googling, there it was, Oct 17 Military watch, cheap as chips thankfully coz otherwise I'd have probably been stupid enuf to pay 3 figures for it just because it's so brash and a way away from the norm different :ROFLMAO:

It's just been shipped yesterday from USA so may take a whiley ;)

Update :-

Currently not here as much as I am halfway through switching our shit BT broadband package over to Starlink ...............

Problem is the massive increase in tourists and our remote area doesn't have Fibre Optic to our local exchange, so this year even worse than last year, the BT would just stop for most of the day.

I got the Starlink and bunged it in, and at first all was well, but I soon found out that the Starlink Routers are shit and have no ethernet port, so I have no wifi in workshop atm, and also none of our smart home devices will work with Starlink Router. The connection between Dishy and "The Internet" is however superb.

Currently I have kept the BT as well, (we are not on a contract, so I just paid this months), will cancel as soon as I get my Starlink Ethernet Adaptor and a new third party router.
The trick is to put the Starlink Router into bypass mode, which means all it does is control Dishy, then using the Starlink Ethernet Adaptor in the cable between Dishy and Starlink Router to connect to WAN port on the new router.

I am not a networking specialist, dunno if I have to set up shit in the new Router, that will cause more hassle and will have to get help, but for now, the Router and the Adaptor are still in post, so I still have shit connection in the workshop.

2 Watches not yet arrived .............
The Daytona was a private sale that I was offered by a localish customer of mine from Staffin, IOS.
Clean Factory 126500 Daytona black dial with Cal. 4131 in it, the guy had agreed sale, promised to bring it here for cash payment, hasn't shown up, so doubt that one will arrive now, not answering his phone either. Unusual for him, he is an old fella, lives about 80miles from me, hope he's OK, very unlike him not to go through with a deal.

116688 Gold Yachtmaster 2 is currently missing in action, but another one that is being personally delivered, so no money has changed hands yet.

That's about it for now, excepting that the car port / workshop extension is going well, about half way done now ......

I'm struggling with the arthritis, some of these timbers are huge (6metres long 9" x 2" and 6"x 2"), total size is 8.5m x 5.5m, and I have no help, I'm having to manually lift these in and fix them 8ft - 10ft high off of step-ladders 🙃

The main structure is up now, just got some end pieces, and all the dwangs to do, then stain it all and get the roof sheets delivered and on, at which point it then becomes useful as a dry area to store all the materials as I finish it and also do other works.
After that I will then add the side walls and the rear wall between house and workshop.

Come winter the 6 cars we currently own should all have a home out of the foulness, currently only the 2 SLK's are in dry storage in the garage / paint booth. There is also a 7m x 3m Garage Tent to finish off when my son comes up later this year, as it definitely needs 2 peeps to get the Canvas on it, that will be another dry area then for storage of building materials and a chassis build project.

That build looks real good, well done. Are you going to put cross bracing strapping on top of the joists before you put the roof sheeting on? Just wondering as here in Aus its required? Can you just build what you want where you live because of the remoteness or do you still have to get approval? I cant build shit here without it? Im currently renovating a project house of mine and have turned a 2 bed 1 bath into a 4 bed 2 bath but to do that I had to convert 3 internal garage spaces and as such I now have to build a double garage on the property. Currnetly going through all the survey, draftsman, council approval bullshit which takes forrrrrrevverrrr!

Yes, same level as joists, "Dwangs" that go in between each joist that is what the profile roof sheets fix to ;)

Planning wise, it will get signed off as a car port once the roof and sides are on. I will then leave it a month or 2 and say nowt, just bung the back piece up between the house and workshop before winter :ROFLMAO:

All the locals up here do same thing, after it's stood there for 3 years they cannot make ya take it down. Old crofting laws apply ;)

General rule of thumb is if you own, reside and work on a croft as I do you can build wtf you like "shed" wise just on a building warrant, without all the aggro of planning consent like we had down south.

Unusual, yep, cheapie, yup, late night purchase after a nite out yip :ROFLMAO:
Well, someone had to buy it, but I do like unusual ....

I saw a guy on a late night Custom Car builders TV show wearing it, so I rewound grabbed the screenshot and went googling the next day, found it on Amazon BNIB from a USA Seller

Arrived this morning, believe it or not it's actually quite comfortable to wear, 55mm from the 2 smaller crowns to the other edge of case, 64 mm across wrist lug to lug, the mesh strap is 24mm across lugs, it's called an Oct 17 made by Oulm watches, who have quite a few quirky pieces in their range.

£24 and 99magic beans with free postage as I have Prime............

@C Master I think Dave2302 might have found a watch that could maybe make your wrist look small while wearing it.

Dave2302 how many new cabinets are in the works to hold all the purchases that keep getting delivered to Bumfuck Nowhere <<< your words not mine lol...

LMAO, I was actually looking them up and thinking about them. I better stay away from the drinks cabinet for the next few nights.

Still a few spaces yet, around 10 when all orders have arrived ;)
C Master has seen it lol, it's also "featured" in one of the Wrist Shots threads.

LOL, Bumfuck Nowhere is a term my American buddy Hamid coined when he came and visited us, I picked him up from Inverness Airport and he couldn't believe the 2 hr drive from there and how remote we are :ROFLMAO:

I actually fancy that big one with a gazillion dials and the "Breitling esque" bracelet, I just love stuff that is different to "standard", which is why almost every vehicle I've ever owned has had mods :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Update after a busy 10 days working hard, getting the craic and insulting trolls :D

The mate of mine from Inverness, (a parts guy at Mercedes Dealer) knows I'm into watches, so is he, and came over to Skye end of last week and brought the unworn all gold YM II with him for me to get a look see.

It is indeed in unworn condition, all links and still had some of the wrappers on it.
Whilst it's not a top tier rep, I've seen worse, way worse. The Plating is very good, and seems to be oblivious to some abuse which I'll mention in a minute ........

The Regatta function works and can be used for Regatta timing, but it doesn't quite work like a gen which involves bezel being moved to a set position first, ............ or does it ? Read on ..........

The watch does have an issue, which Roddy made me aware of, in as much as the Bezel rotates but only by around 1/3rd turn, needs fixed. I bid him £50 for it got a slight frown but he accepted, and so next job is to fix it. I have bought a good quality Bezel Puller and I tested that on a couple of DHG shitters which are destined to become gifts to small grandchildren to play with / or binned.

I had no issue removing their bezels and re fitting them properly, so I gave the Yachtie 2 bezel a go. Taped around the working area, ended up applying far more force than I was comfortable with in several different orientations, then gave up, before I wrecked it. Absolutely not a single mark anywhere though, hence why I say the plating is good quality.

I will spend some time seeing if I can find out more info about what exactly is under the Bezel, a YM 2 bezel how to etc etc, before I admit defeat and ask my go to Watchmaker to take a shot at it. It would help immensely if I could find a new Bezel and a Bezel Insert for an all gold YM 2 before I try again then if I break it I can replace it. So far no luck.

Also bought a really good mid tier Rolex Air King from RepSource, that arrived yesterday.

Nuff shit for me, some pixels .....
