A very quick update :-
Had a message today, TAG Heuer F1 McLaren limited edition shoukd be landing on my desk Monday
The new Watch Cabinet is here, quite a nice thing it is, and the main carcass of it is built, but I need to carefully make a jig, because despite what it said in the description it is not drilled so that all shelves can be set equal distance apart, I actually need to re drill the second and 4th shelf mount holes so that all the gaps are equal !! Ho hum, nobody has any standards these days, so I will just have to get to that soon ...........
Because ...........
I picked up another car on Friday, bought it off a local customer of mine for a few magic beans, he's had it from new, only 48k miles, nice wee thing for an ugly Ford Fusion lol. He no longer needs a second car and didn't want to spend a bunch doing the work it needs,
So now I'm busy going over it wiv a fine toothed comb and getting it up to my exacting standards before giving it to Mel to use for her commute, this is an automatic trans, she can only drive autos ya see and up here most folks buy manuals
She used to use our decent cars but we have had 3 clattered by selfish bastards over the past 2 years which just costs me money to fix because of course the car park is public and they are tourists who just fuck off. Not worth claiming off my Trade policy, because it has a £500 voluntary excess, and I have been able to repair the dings for between £4 - 6 00.
