I dunno what to say, ever reliable Myota, a great 40mm Rep Yacht-Master for £130 and £9 postage, I'm well happy with it, even got my Minxie to help me un-box it and do an initial start up and appraisal. Visually very good with 2.5 mag, a proper little cracker and will fill up another space in my display cabinet :)

I decided to buy another Rep today ............

White Dial Breitling B55 Exospace, I've been looking for a while, it's quite a rare beastie, and last week I found a seller who had 3, so I put one in my basket with a view to completing the purchase in a couple of weeks, since it won't be shipped until the last few days of February, anyway when I checked in today they were only showing one unit in stock !!

So ok being a distrusting kinda guy at times, I realise that might have been "adjusted" purely to gee me up, but since I really do want this in my collection I wasn't prepared to take a chance ................

So it is bought, sale completed, and should be arriving first week in March or thereabouts, around the same time that the Rolex Deepsea Challenge is due (y)

Which factory made the yacht master looks great

I don't collect based upon factories, so I have absolutely no idea, sorry.

I trust my sellers, it's a great piece, 40mm, fitted with the ever reliable Japanese Myota Mvt and a decent Oyster Bracelet, purchased from RepSource, a TD on here.

When it comes to non Chronograph watches there is (IMHO) no need to spend hundreds of $$$ on mainstream reps like Rollies, Omegas etc, the Miyota (in this watch) and some other movements are uber reliable, you can't see what movement is in it, rotor is quiet, they keep within a few seconds a day before I even play regulating them, and the looks and feel of the watches is perfectly fine. These Rolexes I get actually come with decent bracelets too.

This whole rep scene is one of individual taste, so what is right for me may not be right for another member.

Now, if you want a watch that is 100% perfect your gonna be disappointed, because almost none of them are, but I'm not trying to achieve that ;)

I want as many quality REPLICAS as I can get, to rebuild my previous collection and some, and all of mine are what I call Mid Tier, they aren't $50 DHG shitters, they cost me between £130 and £500 depending exactly which watch. When my Cabinet is full, I may consider selling a few and going up a grade, but I have currently got 15 watches since December 2023, and so far there are only 2 of them that I could improve on by buying better ones, and they were bought during my initial shopping spree. Since then I have upped my game a bit, and not had anything arrive that my standards would find fault with :)

Would they fool a Rolex expert under magnification, nope, naked eye standing next to me, possibly, I always appraise my Reps with 2.5 x Magnification (y)

All this said, 99% of the population either don't give a fuck what someone wears on their wrist, or couldn't tell the difference between a pile of steaming Coo Shit, a decent Rep or a Gen anyways :ROFLMAO:

I see you are a new guy here, if you are also new to reps, I personally would suggest you check out the £130 to £250 YM's that the TD's on RWI have, them or similar priced Subs are a great way into this hobby.

HTH

This type of watch fascinates me in some way, very nice Breitling, congrats Dave

I do love a Breitling, got a beautiful Blue Navitimer, will probably get another Breitling too (y)

I'm not sure if this particular Rep B55 Exospace actually does Bluetooth to my Android Phone, but it's the White Dial I wanted, so I had to go with this (not RWI TD) seller.

I have compared the pics to Gen piccies and it's very very good looks wise, the older models the LCD Screens were not placed correctly.
The Bluetooth would be a nice party trick, but IRL I am unlikely to want to use an App to log my flight times etc, I gave up flying when we moved to Scotland, so I wouldn't be that bothered if it doesn't. It does have the socket on the side to charge the Battery via USB ........
Wont know until I get it ;)

Just like my cars, with the Watches I'm into a bit of the unusual stuff too, so I guess when the Cabinet is full I might start modifying / building a few watches :ROFLMAO:

I've 3 project Cars to finish, mostly bits of paintwork now, and I won't be doing any more, one SLK will be sold, I'm just getting too old and arthritic to be humping Engines and Gearboxes about, and even though I have fully equipped workshop, lift etc it gets bloody cold and uncomfortable so the watches are a logical hobby for an officially old aged bastard :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

You should Dave! You're thinking about it, I'm thinking about it very seriously (even if I have ambitions that exceed my knowledge, but I'm studying and fortunately I have friends in different sectors who will help me) and many users here on the forum are certainly thinking about it.

Before you stop with cars, build me a TVR Sagaris! 😍

Great news and a surprise, my Rolex Deepsea Challenge is now dispatched with Tracking info, so earlier than I thought !!

This means that the Breitling Exospace B55 may be dispatched very shortly, and translates to I ought to get them a week earlier than expected :)

Update Due :-

So both the Deepsea Challenge and now the Exospace B55 are on the slow boat from China now, guesstimated delivery hopefully mid March, but ETA is quite vague, so i guess, (hope) they will be here by end of March.

Also incoming now is a Blue Dial Blue Bezel SS Submariner in circa 2 weeks (y)

Another small update, bought a decent quality Solid Stainless Jubillee Bracelet for my Daytona today.

Looked at loads, all had tinny clasps, but this one has the decent solid clasp, the only difference is it doesn't have the Rolex Crown on the flip lock, but I examined the pics really closely, and it is the exact same clasp as the one on my Daytona.

I will swap that clasp onto the Jubillee Bracelet 'et voila' jobs a good 'un as they say in Peckham ;)

The clasp detail pic is the 2 tone version, but exact same clasp on the all Stainless one I bought and identical to the one on the watch (y)

The existing Clasp flip lock piece ....

The new Jubillee Bracelet

And then I can use all the left over bits of the 2 Bracelets to upgrade the bracelet on a little Blue Dial Homage Watch I have, since it will have no logo, and the bracelet on it is shite (y)

Still waiting on the Rolex Deepsea Challenge, Breitling B55 Exospace, and the Blue Submariner, lost out on a Tag Aquaracer, (sold before I bagged it), so incoming in next few days from UK is a fairly cheapie Breitling Super Chronomat 44mm ....

Lets have some guesses in arrival order :ROFLMAO:

Here's mine, and nah the Tracking info from China is useless, and only the Breitling Super Chrono is coming from UK, no dispatch notice yet, so I honestly have no clue ........

Purchase date order was the exact reverse of below i.e. the DSC first, Exo 2nd etc

1) Breitling Super chrono

2) Blue Submariner

3) Breitling B55 Exospace

4) Rolex Deep Sea Challenge

16 in / 4 incoming / none out

When the cabinet is full, 35 ( = 7 per shelf, perhaps 40 at a push), then so far there are 1, maybe 2 early purchases that are not as good detail wise as I'd like ;)
I will maybe sell and replace them with better versions of same exact model, or perhaps I will just give those to family members (y)

I got a lot of other life shit going on atm, but yes, I will keep updating, there have been 3 lots of wee watch stands, the first lot got sent back, absolute shite, a middle weight Chrono would over balance, so not fit for purpose.

I kept the second lot, in use atm, but they are so bloody fragile, they break often when removing / replacing a watch, so now I have about 20 of the 3rd, (and most expensive at circa £5.00 each, but yeah, like everything you get what ya pay for ............

Much much better, they are clear like lot 2, but thicker, much much stronger, and also the watch sits lower and at a better angle, so the dials are easier to see on all the shelves. Also the watches sit a few mm further back, so when sliding the glass door along I don't knock them outta place :ROFLMAO:

I will gradually buy more as time goes by and more watches arrive, but I have enough atm to allow for at least a couple more purchases.

Still not got around to lighting, I'm actually thinking of a spot light on the ceiling shining roght at the Cabinet Glass, rather than having LED Strips inside the cabinet on the underside of the shelves above each row of watches ..............

Any thoughts ???????????

I'll try and get some pixels over the w/e but tbh I am just seriously overworked atm and fed up with all the work and hassle that goes wi' it.

Addendum, the totals above didn't include the two Ladies watches I bought for Mel, a 26ish? mm Rollie Datejust for Christmas and and an AP Royal Oak ladies for our 2nd anniversary in February ;)
