I dont think it's the camera. It's just a new (wrong) dial colour. There isnt such a bad camera, not even in China.
You are absolutely right. It's not the camera, it's the person using the camera! [emoji12] Somebody teach him how to take merchandise photo that actually make people want to spend money, Not turn away. lol

I wish they would elaborate on the movement fix. Is it 100% confirmed that it is just less transfer gears? from 5 to 3?

The new (gray) one on intime: it's not the same dial colour like the first version. It's much less sunburst effect. I hope ZF will release a new one, according to the prototype pictures. Unfortunately no info about the scary sec@6.

I wouldn't consider Ryan's website pictures as a legit representative. His pictures are a way postedited and we actually can only make a final judge by seeing QC pictures. We have the exact same problem with his pictures of newly released Pam605, we can not simply testify whether dial of this version is much improved over KW605 or not.

So no ZF? only BP or it was only a mistake/rumour at the beginning saying ZF is making them?

What i read from watchbus 378702 months back was the movement reliability has improved (Compare to the previous version) but not sure what been done. Movement is 7750 still but not the same 7750 as on the v2. Parts interchangeable with Gen.

Model : Grey dial and Rose gold. No ETA yet but i assume will be in Oct after China national holiday.

I DOn't think Intime is ZF version as the dial grey looks different and not the same effect as ZF.

I have asked Ryan 10 days ago following questions :
I would like to know if you can have the new IWC 3878 steel with grey dial and what would be the price?
What about sec@6 ? Is there anything that has been done or is it still a time bomb?

His answer :
Honestly, the second@6 is still not reliable, The ZF will release their version too.

It is really fair from him as I’m ready to pull the trigger as soon as ZF will release one with a good dial, improved movement and not a sunken date.
Honestly it looks complicated to fix the problem of the date so even if it bother me, I will deal with it.
Regarding timebomb problem…difficult to say. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it is JF and not ZF who has fixed the problem on their Daytona. We are talking about movement, so I don’t think they have the knowledge to modify them, so it is probably done by the factory that produce the Asian 7750.
I’m definitely not convince by the BP. Dial looks bad and it is not a factory I’m confident with. So even if I’m hurry to put my hands on a 3878, I’d prefer to wait for ZF that seems to have a great dial. If movement is not improved I’ll contact Domi.

I understand that this sec@6 is not reliable, as many members with a good reputation have already warned us, and even some TD's. On the other hand, I haven't heard of any case where the watch stopped running. Quite the contrary: the members who own a 3878 (Pretender has 2), they say its been working fine since months. Therefore: how bad is it really?, and how come everybody is scared of this movement? I really would like to know...thanks.

Hi,
I have 3 seconds@6 . One is working , one stopped after about 4 weeks and one arrived already dead.
I was able to fix the 2 which have stopped. But I guess most people don't want or can't open their watch and
dissassemble and repair it. So for people who have the tools and the ability it's ok to take the risk.
For all others it's a expensive gamble .

Hey dudes,
How is it going? I'm a previously Rolex super fan and am now turning my head to the marvels of IWC as I went to a Rolex genuine AD and the 16610/16622 and 116610/116622 just genuinely (pun intended) look too small on my regular 6.5 wrist. Really disappointed!!

Well, I've read through all there is to read about IWC reps here, and as far as I can gather the 3777 is still the best IWC OOTB rep available.

whats the story with the IWC spitfire reps as of today? As far as I can understand, the BP is the currently best one right now but people seem to be waiting on the ZF release?

Are there known tells / fatal flaws / noticeable inaccuracies? For example on this one, which I find to be beautiful!

http://www.intime.co/iwc/1531-pilot-spitfire-chrono-gray-dial-rg-on-black-leather-a7750.html

I know, the seconds at 6 problem from the 7750 movements.. I know Domi fixes this, and I know maybe all of you have also read this -and it may be a lie- but on pure time it says the seconds at 6 problem has been eliminated and this is a "historical fix" etc etc.

The RG spitfire rep (is it from BP? it doesn't say anywhere) looks really pretty but Im no IWC expert.

Thank you all for reading and your contributions will be valuable and appreciated!

Careful: you refer to the old - and bad - version of the 3878! Better look here or here. The second one is the IWC-owners forums watch, which I personally like the most.

Puretime isn't talking about a historical fix, only about a breakthrough on sec@6 together with date wheel. I - and many other users - still think the sec@6 problem isn't fixed.

No, the RG Spitfire is not a BP.
From what i know there is no 3878 sold directly by TD with sec@6 timebomb fixed like JF Daytona.
I'm looking for this watch and i will wait for ZF...I don't think mouvement problem will be fixed but from what we have seen they will probably have the best dial.
Last, Puretime says "historical breakthrough" not "historical fix". I think the break through is just the second at 6 when this watch has been released.

Pls see my post #94. The 2 that died were already the "breakthrough " ones , lol
They are unreliable like they have been always .
If you can't fix them by yourself, it's a expensive paperweight.
