Possibly they modify the new 23j movement for the Portuguese 5007: don't use the PR and a short way with 1 (or 3) gears from running second @9 to @6?

^ Yep date window placement is much better as I hear. For them to do that I think they need to mod the 7750 quite alot and hopefully fix the Sec@6 issues once and for all. Then I may even buy a Rolex Daytona!!

This. We need a reliable seconds at 6 movement so bad. I will not buy a Daytona until the fix this issue.

It could well be a different movement as the sub dial position is different. On this version they are closer to the centre when compared to the original version and the Gen. On the gen the 6 sub dial is right on the edge of the 6 marker and on this it is set further away. I don't think this is just the sub dial being smaller as you can see it is also closer to the center. Therefore I would say that it is possibly a different movement with different sub dial spacing or a redesign that is not quite right for this model.

That's the old version, and they've been saying they improved the reliability for the last 4 years. Not to blame the dealers, they just write what the factories tell them...

The sub dial position is governed by the movement so unless the movement is redesigned that is how it's going to be.
I would say on the wrist it will be hardly noticable.

Sub dial position is not so noticeable..at least not so important to me. If they just fix the date window and the sec@6, i will be the first who orders. Dial colour and sunburst are top of the pop!

We cant have everything, so a reliable movement and correct date position is good enough for me. For some of us theres always going gen
