IWC 3878 Spitfire From ZF factory

Will the subdial @12 count the real chrono minutes or will it count like the 7750-version of the 3878 only 30 minutes per rotation? Not a big tell, but if they re-design the movement, they possibly fix this.

Hopefully the maker uses a thin print for the schaffhausen wording. Most of the IWC reps have thick print on the schaffhausen

I don't think any time soon. My dealer told me they don't know anything about this / if it's in the pipeline it won't be until 2016 sometime.

Ryan confirmed that this is an upgrade movement solving the timebomb sec@6 issue..............I think this is the news ALL of us are waiting for. Not only for the 3878 series but opens the door for all of the 3714 Portuguese as well............f** yeah!!!

If they changed only sec@6 movement to reliable one, I'm 100% in for 3878.

Obviously the date window (position) and the recession of the date wheel... and hopefully the movement...

^ Yep date window placement is much better as I hear. For them to do that I think they need to mod the 7750 quite alot and hopefully fix the Sec@6 issues once and for all. Then I may even buy a Rolex Daytona!!
